This hotel was a great disappointment. From the 4.2 rating it has on google, I expected a pretty standard Premier Inn. However, upon checking into our room, it smelled absolutely awful. It was the mustiest room we've ever stayed in and the dampness of the room began bothering both of our noses within 5 minutes of being in the room. The smell never dissipated, and the day bed in the room had visible mold on the cover. We thought about asking for another room, but all the hallways smelled as bad as our hotel room did. In addition, the pub attached to the hotel closes pretty early for a pub and unfortunately stops selling food an hour before they close. I understand why, but for two people without a car and there being no other food within walking distance, it was rough. The public bus to get to the airport is fine, but I had hoped there might be a free shuttle considering how close it is by driving. This hotel is not easy to get to by public transit because of the timing of the busses. Because of all this, we decided not to stay at the hotel for the night we booked. However, the person we interacted with at the front desk was exceedingly kind.

The rooms and staff were the usual standard Premier Inn which is usually good. The 2 star overall review was down to the fact that when we stayed, we were given just 1 fan to cool the room plus the smallest of small window openings! The thermometer in the room read between 28 - 29.5C during the night, which is dangerously hot and offered us no chance of having a decent sleep! Our daughter slept in the bath for a few hours as it was the coolest place she could find!!! Premier Inn have been contacted but without reply!!! Not good enough by a long way!!!!

Used this premier Inn as its close to Gatwick Airport and has a great pub restaurant next door and a nice little park outside for the children to play in.
Only thing the room need is air conditioning as it was very hot and the windows are restricted

I?ll start with the negative, hardly any mobile reception on any major network in the area, in spite of being next to a major airport and, for one of the two nights I stayed, the hotels WiFi barely worked at all too. I wouldn?t stay here again unless I was happy being disconnected for the duration of that stay. However, as Premier Inns go, I?ve stayed in a handful and this was possibly the cleanest and friendliest of them all.

Not good transport links if you are getting the bus. The premier inn site says good public transport links, this is simply not true. To get from here to the north terminal you have to walk 12 minutes down the road to get a bus to the south terminal and then a shuttle to the north terminal. They also do not run at 5am when we needed it. We had to pay £23 for an Uber there and £20 for an Uber back. We might as well of stayed right next to the terminal and saved on Ubers. We also stayed in room 43 and there was a strong smell of damp coming from the bathroom. The hotel also has no air conditioning and we stayed on a hot night. The window only opens slightly with a restrictor on and even with a fan the room thermostat was reading 26 degrees which was too hot to sleep

We booked a room for one of our drivers on an early airport pickup.
We chose this hotel for the reviews and proximity to the airport.
A lady called Terri welcomed our driver upon arrival, she was polite, friendly and professional - the stay was perfect, room was clean and tidy, everything worked as should.
Driver has requested this hotel to be first choice for any future Gatwick stays.

For me this was a great stop off. Everything is basic, but everything is clean, comfortable and works. Staff were friendly and I had no issues.
Only slightly desire would be for a better shower, but it was clean and worked.
If I'd paid more, I'd expect more.

We stayed for a family party and was totally surprised on finding this hotel.
10 minute drive to the airport and a pub restaurant next door.
Terri on reception made us feel very welcoming and her cheerful smile and politeness was perfect.
