Review of Holland & Barrett ? A Contradiction to Its Own Values
Having dedicated significant time and effort to Holland & Barrett, I had high hopes for a company that promotes health and well-being. Unfortunately, my experience within the workplace was the complete opposite of what the brand claims to stand for.
The work environment is highly stressful, with a culture of micromanagement, manipulation, and gaslighting from leadership. Employees are often overworked, and concerns about workload, unrealistic expectations, and overall well-being are dismissed. The turnover rate is alarmingly high?many employees leave within months, yet management fails to address the core issues that drive them away.
Despite the company?s messaging around healthy lifestyles, the internal culture fosters burnout and stress, leaving employees feeling undervalued and unsupported. I personally reached a point of exhaustion, and while they pleaded for me to stay, nothing changed. Promises of improvement were empty, and the toxic environment persisted.
If you are looking for a workplace that genuinely prioritizes employee well-being and work-life balance, I would advise against working at Holland & Barrett. A healthy nervous system and professional growth are difficult to maintain in such a volatile and unsupportive environment.

The store manager scanned the item that I returned, a CBD fx 1500 mg CBD soft gel capsules, and assured me that I would receive a full refund. Upon checking my bank account linked to card ending in 8335, I noticed that on 11th March 2024, I only received £4.68 for the returned item.
I must clarify that the item in question was unopened, as opposed to the other item which were open and had been used. Unfortunately, I found that the product did not agree with me and caused physical discomfort, hence my decision to discontinue use and return the unopened portion.
Online customer services ,I find unhelpful and wanted me to give a positive feedback.

Was pressure-sold into a loyalty card at the till. The cashier didn?t even give me a choice, just said ?we?re signing you up to this loyalty card.? Now they have my details and I?ll have to figure out how to unsubscribe from their mailing list. Very uncomfortable experience, I won?t be shopping there again

Not much on offer really compared to other holland and Barrett stores and a lot of items worked out as over priced bags of air. Was really dancing some seaweed peanuts but over 50 percent of the bag was just air and packaging compared to the 99p smaller bags which had better value in them.. Shame really as didn't want loads of small bags and like to shop with environment in mind..

Staff are rude, no welcome when you walk in just "mask?" clearly no understanding of the Covid legislation or the difference between legislation and law. Staff should understand this is a hard time for many and kindness is a must atm if your in customer service!
