Paid 8:50 for 2 takeaway Coffees yesterday evening. Without doubt the worst Costa Coffee I've ever tasted. Bitter and tasted like the water was tainted. If I'd have had more time I'd have taken them back and asked for a refund. Costa sort this out.

Good coffee but overpriced even for motorway services

This Costa Coffee branch, located within a service station, maintains the brand's expected higher prices compared to high street locations. During my visit, there was only one staff member attending to both orders and coffee preparation. While the service was slower as a result, it's important to note that the delay was not the fault of the staff member, who was doing their best to manage.

We stopped by at this particular Services Area on our way back to London, as some of us were getting hungry. Since we travelled with a pax of 9 adults and 5 children, the handling could be quite troublesome between toilet visits and handling of food. Hence, we ended up at Costa Coffee, as they are more spacious, and have more tables and chairs to accommodate us.
Someone,(no name mentioned here) bought some vegan burgers from Burger King, and decided to keep it under wrap. True indeed, the sharp and intelligent 3 year old Aulya noticed the wrappings, and innocently asked, "Is it Halal?" And for that, she was constantly fed with french fries, to assure complicity!!

Lovely little coffee shop within an otherwise rather bland old fashioned service area.
The staff are lovely and they provide a great service even when extremely busy.
We never pass by without stopping for our tasty toasties & coffee whenever we are on our travel to East Sussex

Nice one next to the M23. I have been stopped here for many times going to Brighton for morning coffee always forget to review. This morning i managed ? lovely coffee and hot food. friendly members of stuff.
