A great shop to buy and sell games and electrical devices at a cheaper price. Easy to navigate around the shop with everything laid out well. Staff are friendly and helpful.

A bit of transparency would not harm you guys. When I'm offering my item for sell and you are saying and confirming I will have my money in my account in about 30 minutes well I'm expecting you to do that. Not to contact you back and telling me it can take between 24 and 48 h to receive my money in my account. Try to instruct your employees about that specially to Hannah. That's rude and not professional.

Great buying experience! Thanks Alana!
I saw a black ps portal unit on display in the window.
I asked to inspect it to assess the condition.
It was in great condition and had a screensaver.
I was served by Alana, who agreed to keep it on hold for 2 days.
This allowed me time to think over the purchase and assess my options before making a decision.
She explained the warranty process and what it covered very well so I was clear on what would and would not be covered.
It was a very easy stress free purchase. I went back to collect it the same day and also received a charging cable.

I sold my Xbox here and I bought mobile phones here ,the service is great and professional. I just think the management should give the staff more support and awareness rather than stressing the staff out . I just saw one staff member being told that he must take a pill if he doesn't feel happy . That to me is abuse and if I was him I would not work their because that is horrifying . I also got their early that morning and the same staff member pitched up at the door while I was waiting for them to open.she tried to chase me away for waiting near the entrance .she said that I must not bother her because she has not started her shift yet and that she won't listen to my question. It's the same management that scared me when she told other staff member to take a pill . He was forced to be on duty with no resources ready. he was doing everybody's duties alone .he wanted to go to the toilet but they forced him to stay serving .he gave me 5 star service . However this staff member made me feel safer and more secure .other than that this was my experience at the store .atleast I bought a good product .

So far I'm not happy at all. The customer service is poor and that's being polite. I've purchased a console but I've taken it home and isn't working I've tried to ring them but you have to fill in a form on the website. You call that customer service?

I visited CEX in Crawley today intending to purchase an iPad for my daughter. After browsing for a while, I quickly found a couple of iPads I was interested in. I approached someone behind the desk and asked if I could look at one to check the condition, as I wasn?t going to buy without seeing it first.
The staff member started getting it for me but then informed me that only one of us could look at it and that I would have to remove my cap if I wanted to proceed. It was a sunny day, and I momentarily removed my hat. To my surprise, both she and another guy behind the till immediately shouted, insisting I must keep it off while viewing the iPad. When I asked why, they stated it was for CCTV purposes. I explained that the CCTV had already seen my entire face when I removed my cap momentarily. I wanted to keep my hat on because the store was busy, and my hair was messy.
I even offered to leave my new iPhone 16 Pro Max on the desk away from me while the staff held the iPad so I could examine it. But they adamantly repeated that I had to remove my cap and that only one person could look at the device. I was with my 9-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter, and I wanted her to ensure it was the one she wanted. The entire situation was uncomfortable and upsetting, especially for my daughter who was quite distressed by the unnecessary complications.
When I finally managed to look at the first iPad, it had a deep scratch and wouldn?t turn on. So, I asked to see another one. This one seemed better, but when I asked a few questions, the staff member appeared unsure of the answers. It was a 9th generation iPad (the previous model), and she assured me it was USB-C compatible. I mentioned that I had read it was Lightning, but she insisted otherwise and even gave me a USB-C cable with it.
When I got home, I realized that it was indeed a Lightning cable model, just as I had suspected. This misinformation was frustrating, but the overall experience was even more disappointing. I felt belittled and treated like a thief despite being a regular customer who spends thousands of pounds on tech products each year, running my own media company.
Additionally, I was not asked if I had a membership, so I ended up only with a basic receipt. The iPad was just handed to me without a bag, and I wasn't even asked if I wanted one. The staff member simply stared at me, and I walked off feeling completely disrespected.
I am extremely disappointed with this experience. I expected better customer service and certainly not to be made to feel uncomfortable or untrustworthy. CEX needs to address their staff training and their policies, especially when dealing with genuine customers. I would not recommend this store based on my experience today.

Not a very good store they don't take items with little dents or small scratches but then you take the items to other cex stores or sell online they take it with no issues and give you the money, this happens regularly with this Crawley store won't be buying or selling or buying any more form this store

Be careful if your selling a large box of games and films, they will go through and open them all, need to park for more than an hour. Also didn't accept three games as they had american ratings. They were kids games, nothing like gta, just sims and zoo tycoon. Tested it on my xbox and they work perfectly fine. Shame they were the only games worth more than £1
Also saw a new super Mario ds game for sale on the desk for £20. Just gone online and if you sell it, you get £7

Bought an iPhone, paid £15 for screen protector across the street, spent all evening trying to update but eventually showed as being repaired with a Mobil issue. Returned the next day, waiting approx 50 minutes for warranty check, found to be faulty, got a refund. £5 on parking, £15 screen protector, waste of time and money. Sadly I trusted that the phone would have been tested and even purchased the phone dead with no charge. No customer service recovery, lesson learned.

Very charming staff. Easy to process a return within the 2 day window and they were clear when informing it was a voucher return.
