We visited this place to celebrate my friends birthday, just after Christmas. it is a very large pub, but for a Saturday lunchtime, it was not at all busy. there seem to be enough stuff to cover, however, we found service to be extremely slow. Our time there was three hours, with considerable delays between ordering and service of both main course and desserts. I am comparing this to another Brewers Fayre establishment (Brookers Oast in Kent), which we visited on Boxing Day, where the service was excellent - despite it being busy we had no delays and better food. For example, I chose exactly the same dessert from the festive menu at both restaurants. At Goffs Park I noticed that the ingredients of the Black Forest Sundae were not the same. My partner had chosen a chocolate torte, and I noticed that my sundae contained chopped up torte instead of brownie pieces that it was supposed to contain. Also, our party essentially had to clear our own tables - we did not see a member of staff, except to serve our main course and desserts. The latter did not come at the same time, despite ordering from the same table number and asking for them to come at the same time. Nobody came round to check our meals were OK.Upon leaving the pub, I noticed a sign on the door, saying that it had an award for staff satisfaction. However, I did not feel that staff had their customers' interests at heart, which is most important for the success of the hospitality trade. No wonder they are happy if they're not expected to do their jobs properly.I would certainly not choose to visit here again.Vegetarian options: There is an adequate offering for both vegetarians and vegans.

Drinks were severed at a timely manner. But the carvery is just terrible. The person walking behind it being grumpy and chucking their tongs on the table. Brussel sprouts hard as hell, and you have to wait for vegetarian

the food was very good, but very dirty. The bar is sticky from spilled drinks, all the tables are dirty. There are no napkins, and you have to ask for cutlery. The guests cleared the tables themselves to sit down.

Really sorry to say we have just had an awful experience of a very long wait 11/2 hours, cold dinner and poor customer service whereby it wasn?t until just before we were served that a kind waitress apologised for the long wait.If someone had told us when we arrived, that the wait was over an hour, we would have made other arrangements as we had our elderly mother with us.It was so disappointing as she uses the restaurant a lot and had been excited to go for her birthday.

Appalling. Went on a Sunday. Waited over 20 minutes at the bar for brinks. One person had another meal, the rest had carvery. Potatoes ready peeled/frozen. All food poor quality. Completely agree with previous reviews: terrible staff, telling us that 'well my lovely, you'll have to wait for the fish dish to be cooled' over an hour after ordering!!! Really not worth opening this poor excuse for a restaurant. Shockingly embarrassing, with so little pride for a service and food production.

Although the breakfast was good the two staff members were being very rude to the guest. No customer services either. The girl even rolled her eyes when walking off. The food was running out and they were slow to replenish. Needs more staff to run the restaurant. If I return and see them two there I'll leave straight away. Don't appreciate the way the spoke

Absolutely the worst 2 evening stay we have had in our life's. The place is so short staffed they are running around taking orders serving and actually assisting the chefs who are so poor that 80% of the customers who waited 2 HRS for their XMAS MEAL got a full refund (4th Dec evening). We were lucky but our order was wrong and had to be addressed by the waitress. I'm sorry to say we stayed there in Sept this year and it was the same. And it reflects in the custom at 9.15Pm the place was empty. And the management will not get more staff as they are not making enough money,....... l wonder why. Worst visit ever.

I dined at Goffs Park Brewers Fayre with friends Saturday lunch time.I ordered the Thai Green curry. When the dish arrived it did not resemble the photograph on the menu. The only vegetable was the sweet potato mixed in a Thai green curry paste. There was no tenderstem broccoli, peas or bamboo shoots!! Very disappointing. Whilst the food was tasty the rice was not very warm. The plates were not cleared away from our tables when we had finished our main courses.Unfortunately the restaurant was very cold and none of us wanted to stay long after we had eaten.Such a shame as a lovely place to meet up with friends.

over a hour wait in a food astablisment with about 3 tables in use.. only ordered a dessert I would hate to think how long the wait is for a half full or even semi busy time. absolute joke definitely not

We?ve been to a few brewers fayres now, and this was by far the worst unfortunately. We asked for vegan sausages and bacon, whilst it?s amazing they had them and I?m thankful, they were cooked so dry and actually ruined the taste of them. You could taste that they were actually decent quality products, but I don?t know whether they?d been over cooked in the oven but they?d shrivelled up and were so horrible.Given the price, there wasn?t as much selection as what we?d had at other brewers fayres either. If we had any idea on who to talk to about this, we would have probably mentioned something on site but we didn?t see anyone when vacating the building.

Went today 11/11/2023 for my birthday meal, everyone serving was so nice, they didn?t have my dessert I wanted but gave me another option which I chose something different and it was still nice, very kid friendly, waited a while for the desserts but they were reallyBusy tonight which isn?t their fault, thank you I would definitely recommend and also asked if we had any allergies before letting us order and asked at the door as well which is good incase anyone does have allergies. Thanks so much booked again for December toCome back and have dinner.?Vegetarian options: Loads of different options to choose from if your vegetarian which is goodDietary restrictions: Asked if we had any allergies and if anyone had a dietary restriction which is brilliant means they take good care in their customers and they can try cater for everyone.Kid-friendliness: Welcoming to all children and their familiesWheelchair accessibility: Has ramp in the restaurant which makes it easier for someone in a wheelchair, who has a pushchair and who can?t use stairs.

Not good!Maybe they were short of staff. The tables were either dirty or sticky! No was no service to speak of. We had to find someone to find out where we were sitting (previously booked as a large party). Carvery dishes not replenished or cold and VERY little choice. Had to wait ages for someone to carve the meat and no clean plates! I will say the meat and Yorkshire pudding were nice and parsnips not bad, but the rest was not great. Probably the worst roast potatoes (they were dry, more like the frozen ones you get. Will not be going back I'm afraid!

What a dive!!! On entry was told no normal menu only carvery which is not helpful in a big group. The place is FILTHY and run down with a depressing atmosphere. The staff are beyond lazy with only a couple of young members actually working. The rest just try to look busy not actually achieving anything. Our plates weren't cleared away and we had to chase pudding after 40mins. Food was poor standard. Terrible meal out and wasted money!

Breakfast for the Premier Inn. Tasty but standard fare though the "orange juice" was just watery squash.

I recently visited Goffs Park Brewers Fayre for breakfast, and unfortunately, it was a rather disappointing experience. The main door was shut without any notice or explanation, which was quite puzzling. When I inquired about it, I was told by Premium Inn staff that it's only open for guests staying at the inn. This lack of communication was frustrating, especially after traveling 30 minutes to get there for breakfast. It would have been helpful to know this policy in advance, as it would have saved us the time and effort. Overall, not a pleasant start to the day.
