Absolutely awful experience. The fur hood on my coat was ruined as it was clearly cleaned when it shouldn?t have been. It is detachable and was actually detached when I went to collect, but totally ruined. I was told by the owner Julia firstly that because it?s synthetic that?s how it is after cleaning and then she suggested that I had dropped it off that way. I provided proof of what it was like before and showed her another coat I own, again from Zara which has a similar hood. Surely they as professionals should know to detach the hood prior to cleaning, and when they have made a mistake to acknowledge and apologise for it. No acknowledgment whatsoever and in fact lies after lies. Julia stated on multiple occasions that she had contacted Zara to ask them, and apparently Zara had said everything was fine. I asked for a refund of the cleaning fee (£35) which I believe is a small price for them to pay for what they have done, and I was told I?d only be refunded if they kept my coat. The whole matter has been dealt (or not dealt with) so unprofessionally and actually caused me a lot of stress, especially as Julia?s tone was very confrontational and intimidating. I will never go back here again.Attached is a picture of what the fur should be like (old coat in beige) and the ruined black fur after they tried to ?brush it out?.

I gave Home & Dry a load of laundry two weeks ago, and paid them £18. As of yet, they have not returned my clothes. First off, they got my name wrong. When I called them this morning to chase down my clothes, I corrected the name, and they said it would be delivered by 2 pm today. It's now 8 pm and still no clothes, and I needed them as I am taking a 3-day trip to Wales tomorrow. It's really a pity that I need to write this review, because based on the phone number, Home & Dry appears to be associated with the Felpham Launderette, which I use regularly and is always great. I know that Home & Dry sent my laundry there to be cleaned, so I'm sure it will come back properly laundered, but 2 weeks is far too long to wait, I want my clothes back immediately and I want a full refund.

I wouldn?t normally do this but I feel I have to, to warn other customers with Home & Dry Chichester my awful experience. I took my garment in to their Felpham branch to be dry cleaned. I have used this shop a few times with no problems in the past. Mainly self service. On this particular occasion I was taking my Reiss jumpsuit to be dry cleaned. I have taken this item before for the exact clean. I collected my garment a week later, all neatly wrapped in the usual cellophane. I immediately hung it up in my wardrobe. Does anyone check their dry cleaning item these days after a service? You would think in 2022 we shouldn?t have to. How wrong I was. Huge lesson learned for me. Always check your item after collection. 7 weeks passed. I had a wedding to attend and I thought I?d better try on my jumpsuit to make sure it still fitted me ok. I could have cried. I actually did. There was this, what looked like a burn mark on the leg. Quite a size too. You can imagine my shock and horror when I saw this. I immediately phoned the head office in Chichester who asked me to bring the item in and show them the damage. I did this straight away. On arrival I was greeted by two ladies, one being the managing director/ owner I believe. Basically I was attacked verbally and was told under no circumstances were they to blame. They told me it was a cigarette burn or maybe I had moths in my wardrobe. They offered to send it away and put a patch on. I reluctantly agreed and was told to collect my jumpsuit a week later from the felpham branch. A week went by, went to collect my garment. Of course it wasn?t ready, even though the ticket said the collection date. I was told the lady who mends the garments was on sick leave. I was frustrated as no one had bothered to call me. I called the head office who told me the garment had been mended and it would be transferred to the felpham branch the next day. Somebody lied! This got my back up so I asked for my garment to be returned untouched. I decided to take action now as I knew the hole/burn was not my fault. I?m not a smoker, I don?t go near smokers and I certainly don?t have moths in my wardrobes. I decided to get a second opinion from an independent dry cleaners in Bognor Regis. They were very helpful and informed me that in their opinion this was not a cigarette burn, nor moths but in fact a chemical burn!!!! I wrote another letter to the head office who finally agreed to pay me 50 pounds goodwill gesture. The size of the hole I would have felt a burn on my leg which of course I didn?t. I wrote back refusing the 50 pounds and asked for 100 pounds plus 9 pounds cleaning cost. My jumpsuit cost me 220 pounds. I bought it for my sons wedding. Unfortunately, Home & Dry refused this. I decided I didn?t want this to get dragged through the courts, I?m a busy person but I?m writing this honest review to warn others should you decide to use this company for your dry cleaning always check your garments before and after cleaning and in front of staff.EDITIn response to your response, I?m very angry that you feel I have deliberately damaged my wedding outfit which I wore to my sons wedding. Of course I do this all the time. You said you sent pictures to an industry inspector who said the damage was PROBABLY not done by your cleaning company. So that to me means there was a discrepancy. I will say again I took my garment to a dry cleaning company in Bognor Regis who confirmed my findings and told me this was a chemical burn and absolutely was not done by a cigarette or moths. Why would I want to fork out over another 100 pounds plus to an industry advisor bearing in mind I have already lost 220 pounds for my ruined garment, plus 9 pounds cleaning, to be told it was a chemical burn caused by yourselves. I do not accept any of your claims either, so best just leave it there. I?ve definitely learnt from this experience and I hope your company has too.

Home and Dry have altered 2 of my wedding dresses (one bought for small registry office wedding and the other a full on wedding dress). The first dress was taken up and lace was added to bust so as not to be too revealing - it looked great and was done so quickly! The second one Daniela took such care over and I honestly couldn?t believe how her brain works! She took it up by removing lace and putting back on, as well as creating a loop for me to hook the train onto the back. It was beautiful and lasted the whole day. They also dry cleaned it and it looks as good as new.Thank you so much, especially Daniela who has been so so lovely throughout ??

Home and Dry Chichester in beautiful West Sussex is a dry cleaning and laundry company second to none. Julia the Director, epitomises all that is good in local businesses! I am an active Freemason and member of a local Masonic lodge. Freemasonry is an organisation which has an unenviable and proud history of world wide funding for national and international tragedies, as well as supporting local charities of all descriptions. Funding for Masonic charity is given freely from members world wide.I am proud to mention that Julia without prejudice is happy to assist my lodge with a logistical issue which falls within her remit as o local business person.
