“When out shopping we occasionally visit the Palm House restaurant. We have always found the standard of food on offer very good with a wide selection of home cooked hot meals as well as other choices . There is also a ‘help yourself’ vegetable area once you have collected your main dish served at the hot food counter. Two brothers apparently run the kitchen and service has always been welcoming and portions generous. There is a spacious , but basic indoor seating area plus alternative areas outside for summer use. The chairs are comfortable. Dogs are not allowed which many will welcome. Obviously dog owners would probably avoid this restaurant. Overall the quality of the home cooked food and the friendly service makes this a good value lunch stop. Breakfasts and afternoon teas are also available. We thoroughly recommend this restaurant although you can pop in for drinks.”
