I went to this hairdressers via an offer. The offer was great, and I was in between hairdressers so thought it would be a great way to try out a new salon.I go a total of 4 trips with the offer, nails, hair cut, blowdry and colour. The first trip for a cut and blow dry was done by their male hair dresser who was very professional and did a great cut and blow dry, I was very pleased with the results. Their junior washed my hair under instruction, I felt that she didn't follow the direction that well and wasn't applying enough pressure in her technique to get a good wash.On the second visit I had my nails done and a wash and blow dry. My nails were done by the owner. I found her to be very over familiar, chatting and gossiping to the receptionist about her latest date and friend troubles whilst doing my treatment. They also included me in this conversation, which made me feel uncomfortable, I don't even know them. I am happy to have a friendly chat but the nature of the conversations seem inappropriate. The owner was also texting in between doing my nails. It was supposed to be relaxed pampering, but instead I felt uncomfortable the whole time. I also had a wash and blow dry, which was done by a junior, she was nice but again over familiar, talking to me like she had known me a long time rather than a customer. The wash and blow dry was fine though and I was happy with the results. My nails lasted 3 days and I then had to resort to taking them off as they were all chipped. On my final trip I was booked in for a colour treatment. I was actually dreading going, but didn't want to waste the offer and money I had paid. I had the owner doing my colour, again she was over familiar and gossiping whilst doing my hair. I asked for a warm chocolate semi permanent, I didn't get an offer of looking at the colour chart to ensure I was happy! Next I had my hair washed out by the same junior who did the wash on my first trip. She was given instruction for the first 2 minutes and then left to her own devises. She wasn't applying enough pressure again and I was worried that I would be left with dye all over my scalp. I even asked her to scrub harder to ensure she removed the dye, she did it a little harder, but again not hard enough. I am not even sure that she completely wash the back of my head enough to get the dye off! I then was seated to have my hair dried by the male hair dresser. He wiped the back of my neck with the towel quite a lot before beginning to dry my hair, which I presume was to remove the remnants of hair dye that the junior hadn't washed off! I also had a itchy scalp still which is probably because the dye hadn't be rinsed correctly. The male hairdresser then blow dried my hair. Again I was happy with the results and he had blow dried my hair with plenty of texture and made it look really nice. I wasn't 100% about the colour though, it seemed very dark and almost a blacky brown, exactly what I had requested not to have, but the styling area is so dark, I couldn't be 100% sure.I then left, spent some time in town. When getting home I looked in the mirror and saw that I had hair dye all round the edge of my scalp! It wasn't even a little bit, it was like it hadn't even been washed! I was surprised that the guy blow drying my hair hadn't seen it, but with wet hair and the dark area, he may not have spotted it. I also am still not happy with the colour, it way too dark and not what I wanted at all.Overall I felt the customer service and level of technique was poor, with the exception of the male hairdresser, whom I think is wasted at this hairdressers and may get a bad rep by association if her doesn't leave soon. It is safe to say I will not be visiting this hair dressers again. My work colleagues also bought this offer and have also agreed that the service was awful and they would also not be going back.
