I drive past the charity shops in my area to specifically donate to and support Emma and her wonderful team in Burgess Hill. This shop is well run, has a quick turnover of donated goods and.. critically gets pricing right. Being able to give my grandchildren a small amount of money to spend, knowing that they will always be able to find something to buy is great. It also lends itself to discussions about passing on their old toys here and how it helps.

Best charity shop in the area by far! Reasonable pricing and they always take donations when space allows. I tend to call on the phone first to check, which is easy to do as they always answer quickly and are very helpful. Emma and her team work really hard to make this a tidy, well run shop which is nicely laid out into secrions with a fast turnover of stock.

The shop closes at 5pm. I was running late and knocked on the locked door at 5.01pm as I could see 2 members of staff were inside, cashing up presumably. I waved and they mouthed 'CLOSED' so I mouthed 'I know but I have a great donation'. Lady came to the door and wouldn't unlock it. I explained through the glass that I had a great big box of kids toys. She told me to come back tomorrow with a miserable look on her face. I won't be returning, another charity shop can have the beautiful 50 hand painted wooden animals instead. Not very charitable or friendly at all.

The best charity shop we have ever spent money in. Today was their Xmas goods launch, the shop was busy all day! We travel from Redhill, Surrey to go there. Highly recommend!!

One of the best charity shop in the burgess hill. They are giving the products with reasonable prices. Every time we go we can go through different stuff, toys and kids play art books all are good.

The best charity shop, ever.Emma and her team work so hard to make this the best charity shop, you can buy for any occasion and my little girl loves to pick out lovely toys that kind people have donated. Highly recommended. Thank you for all the hard work you do for a very special charity, who should be very proud of you all.

What a let down this charity is now. Since the new management have taken over ,its just unbelievable that for donated goods some items are way overpriced and many of them are not priced when you ask the price staff says one price when you go to the till it suddenly becomes more expensive I think they just making prices from the top of there heads ,and when confronted the lady starts making excuses it?s for the children we know it?s a charity shop and we know that Bernardo?s is for the children she completely misses the point that for donated goods you supposed to make some % of its value not selling items on retail value and then she stars blaming the economy honestly think some of this charity shop need more regulation as I?m sure the people who donate won?t be happy if they knew charities are trying to sell their donations for more money than what they pay for new

Was let down when I wanted to donate good quality clothing and some lovely bits from my dad that had passed away. Because they had an Amazon delivery they refused it all, and sent me away. Not much of a charity in that situation. Terrible!

Barnardo's is a good shop for all ages. Its especially good for children with pocket money that they want to spend. You can get a lot in Barnardo's for your money. The manager is always improving the store. Barnardo's sell everything to clothes, toys, shoes, teddies, collectables and more!
