The self checkout is utterly pointless. Every item you scan needs a human input to sort issues. Go back to the way it was please, or loose a customer of 40yrs. human interaction is needed. Feel somewhat sorry for staff who have lost their jobs to this style of herding.

I am a mobility scooter user and I find the width of the isles good for manoeuvring round. I find there are usually staff around to help get things from higher up, if not staff very kind hearted customers. In all a good shopping experience.

Only just moved to this area and have been using Sainsbury?s for the last few weeks. Thought we?d give Tesco a go this week as it?s only across the road.
Store was quite busy but many of the aisles were completely blocked by all the staff doing the online shopping orders.
Felt almost as though it was a staff shopping event as there were so many of them barging around the aisles with their huge trolleys.
Think we?ll be sticking to Sainsbury?s from now on, Tesco just felt very chaotic with many empty shelves and items out of stock.

Incredibly unprofessional staff with blue eyeliner in Bognor self checkout today, rude and disrespectful towards me and my boyfriend, implying he was dating someone underage (despite being covered in tattoos and piercings) then continued to roll her eyes and smirk at us as if she was all proud of herself. Needs to sort her attitude out and learn customer service, absolutely appalling behaviour

They allow people with full trollies to use the self service checkout, meaning shoppers who have small amounts have to spend extended time waiting. This should be banned, or, like Sainsburys, open a self-service for trollies.

Arrived at midday today .. I'm wheelchair bound
No disabled spaces and car queuing for next one ... Little or no badges being displayed
Waited in car whilst carer shopped
Jade at customer services showed no people skills or empathy..only ..." There's cameras and they'll get fined at approx 13:45 ... Plus the 4 out of 27 tills only being open !?! ..sigh and shrugg of the soldiers .

Whenever in this part of the world I usually come here to check out their special offers and buy food and drink items that are less available in my home town in Germany.
There is a large, free car park. In common with other supermarkets the first thing that you see when entering the shop is the fresh fruit and vegetable department. I understand that this is done on purpose. There is a good choice here.
I found what I needed quite easily given the clearly marked signage throughout the store. On the day I was there I encountered many staff running around with large industrial sized trolleys, presumably selecting items for online customers for subsequent delivery.
At the cash desk I unfortunately got behind an elderly gentleman who took forever to unload his heavily laden trolley, present his saving vouchers, pay for his goods and then labouriously load everything slowly and systematically into his bags. All the time, the lady at the till insisted on chatting good naturedly with him as if we all had all the time in the world. Which was all fine, but when it finally came to my being served, the old man was still fiddling about with things and blocking my way. I politely asked him to move on and was greeted with a barrage of angry complaints from him. Fair enough, I suppose but the check out lady then seemed to be quite frosty to me...

A mixture of very pleasant staff and sadly some extremely rude staff. Oh and the dreadful music blaring out very loudly in the store on 18 November, for me a place to be avoided, I would rather travel to Littlehampton

Sat. 2nd Nov. Parking and access very good. Not too busy. Managed to find everything we had on our list. Then it all fell apart as we got to the checkout. 9.40am and only 3 checkouts open with customers and full trollies waiting. Self-service full with a long queue and only 1 member of staff trying to sort any issues. Lots of staff running around the shop but not called to assist in clearing queues. This is not the 1st time we have experienced this dreadful customer service.
