We came here for my daughter's birthday. Food and staff lovely as usual. Nothing is too much trouble. Always enjoy coming here.

Went here for our christmas day lunch . it was really nice . I especially enjoyed the cheesecake dessert! All the staff we're lovely and made us all feel very welcome .

Appalling experience all round and will never return. Customer service was non existent and I don?t know why the man behind the bar works there- he obviously doesn?t like people! I didn?t take it personally he was like it with any customers that weren?t local. Customer in front of me asked about colouring activities to which she was told by Mr Friendly Liverpudlian behind the bar that colouring sheets were supplied but not crayons!!!! That ended that request. While waiting to order got told off for standing near the contactless machine and to move so it could be used. Very quiet but Mr Friendly took as long as he could to serve probably hoping anyone that wasn?t a local would leave. When placing the order he was rude, miserable and it seemed to be a real chore for him. Hoping that the food would make up for the customer service but that was just as disappointing. Couldn?t wait to leave and definitely would not go back. No atmosphere and couldn?t be arsed with customers attitude doesn?t seem to have been improved from previous reviews. Don?t worry Mr Barman you will never have to serve me again. Steering well clear after reluctantly paying for that experience.

Just been in the restaurant for Xmas lunch and food was awful. Soup was terrible and Xmas lunch not much better. Cold, processed food, no mint sauce, red cabbage etc. £60 a head ??

We went for my nieces birthday there was 15 of us, they were short staffed the food wait wasn?t to long and the staff were ok, Shernice however was friendly, helpful and had the biggest smile on her face even tho they were clearly under pressure! She is a real asset to the team!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a mix up with our meals but the chef and the server were very quick to sort it out. The gentlemen who took our order was friendly, and suggested we set up a tab to make it easier, to add on puddings etc, which was helpful, at the end of the meal there was a mix up on the bill but it was sorted well and when I was paying the bill the young gentlemen was very helpful, asking if I had a Blue Light Card which meant I got 20% off my meal. I have been to two other places which I later discovered had Blue Light Card offers and it was not pointed out, so I was very grateful to this gentlemen. Overall we had a lovely time, food was good, atmosphere relaxed and staff lovely. Definitely recommend it and it?s value for money.

Warm, cozy, the staff were friendly especially a young lady called Emma she went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly, the food was very nice and hot will definitely come back again

On entering the pub my 4 year old went over to a stool by the fruit / games machine. Immediately Fiona the female behind the bar shouted at her don?t get on that stool You have to be 18. You might fall. My 4 year old was reduced to tears. Now I get the safety element but my 4 year old has not covered gaming laws and age at nursery yet. No signage. I suggested she moved the stool and she replied I?m not allowed. Fiona the so called duty manager eventually apologised. So admitting liability. I noticed other customers being spoken to in a similar way by other staff members. One poor elderly gentleman was told 3 times to go back and get his table number by a male member of the team. Poor man. Customer relations contacted and this will be followed up. Dated restaurant. No customer service or atmosphere. Hungry horse head office. I suggest you send a mystery customer to get the real picture. Do not bother with this place.
