First impressions of Travel lodge, easy to park although confused how to get in while driving in the dark and no street lights or signs. Turns out you have to enter the restaurant Billy?s car park to get to travel lodges. Upon arrival staff were friendly and accommodating. Public areas looked clean and well maintained. I was a bit put off by the sign at reception asking people to not smoke weed,it gives an impression as to the type of clientele they get. Only one key was offered for the room despite 3 of us staying. Room was clean and tidy. Kettle was full of limescale and rust and had clearly seen better days. Mugs were clean and they had a selection of tea and coffee which you could self top up at reception. Bathroom clean however shower when turned up to a warm temperature kept spitting water rather than being a continuous flow. The show head was fixed and if not portioned the shower curtain first goes all over the bathroom floor. Overall the room looked dated and tired. The tv still only has terrestrial tv so no Netflix or catch up tv.Travel lodge as a chain isn?t one I would stay in by choice however I had no choice on this occasion as my boiler broke and my insurance company booked it for us as it allows pets to stay. I think this is the one perk if you do travel with pets.

Apart from other travelodge hotels , Billingshurst was way better if compare with the quality of room and friendly service. So far really like it if compare to other travelodges. A good comfy 1 night stay.Rooms: I tried A single double bedroom with bathtub and comfy bed.

The quietest Hotel I've ever stayed in. Very clean and peaceful and just what I needed after a stressful week, before spending Christmas with family..Rooms: Spotlessly clean. Really clean and comfortable.( Bed just a bit high with my arthritic hip.)

Ok it's a Travelodge so we didn't have high expectations but:Staff smoked next to the entrance door pretty much all morning - yuk.Room was very ok but tired, no extraction, and the ground floor window is next to a public footpath.Parking was totally shared with a very busy cafe/bistro so space was tight with nothing reserved for Lodge guests (who may have bags, suitcases, etc whereas cafe users wouldn't).Not the worst place I've stayed, but I'd never stay there again.Safety: Didn't feel safe - there was a huge sign in reception warning guests not to use drugs in the room!!!

Really helpful and friendly staff. The rooms in this place are incredibly dated. Looks more like very tired retirement home than the adverts that?s you see on TVThey charge a lot of money for a room and it?s definitely not good value. Stay somewhere else if you can.Very disappointing!Rooms: Very basic, old and tired. A very damp old smell to the room and the place.

Perfect location to business travel. Big rooms and clean. Just some of the staff need to be more friendly.

I originally booked a room for a one night stay, When I entered the room I noticed straight away in was 2 single beds which was not ideal for me as I am 6ft 3 it was also given the last available room in the hotel which was a disabled room, That was not actually so bad as it was nice size with good space. I did not have the best of sleep due to the size bed however the service I received from reception and Jan the manager was fantastic and sorted out complimentary voucher for the inconvenience for next time I book with Travelodge

Have been using this Travelodge for many years.... I can't say enough about how helpful and welcoming the staff are, rooms are always very clean. The cafe next door does a really good breakfast, best in the area. Can get fully booked, and prices are very variable.
