We stayed for one night and we regretted it!The room was in the attic space. We chose it because it?s the only one with a shower and it allegedly had views of the castle. The room had low ceilings, small windows, an electric shower and a ridiculously small TV that you can?t see from the bed.At 5?11? my head was scraping the ceiling. I bumped my head into the eaves many times and couldn?t sit up in bed because of the eaves space. When we entered the room it was so cold we couldn?t take our coats off! Radiators were ice cold. I pointed this out to the chef who was manning reception. He told us the boiler had broken and he would call a plumber. We stayed away for the afternoon waiting for the heating to be fixed. The shower was weak and I had to duck to get under it. Being in the attic, with little insulation we can hear the wind blowing all night and when the radiators finally started working all you can hear is a ticking noise because of air in the system. We asked to talk to the owner on three separate occasions and left my mobile number with three members of staff. We wanted to give him feedback in person, but he didn?t call. I guess he can read about the shortfalls in his hotel in this review instead. We paid £140 for one night, it?s not worth half the price! The room is small, old and dated and the owner just doesn?t care. Stay somewhere else.

Excellent Chinese New Year celebrations. The food was exquisite and to die for. Many courses and great value for money. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel with a 2 bedroom family apartment overlooking Arendelle Castle - home of the Earl of Northfolk.Nearby activities: Next to the Castle which is open for visitors from April to October. In August, a spectacular festival is organized with activities in the palace and the surrounding town. Small wooden houses are set up and sell jewelry and various constructions. Beware! At this time there is a lot of traffic in Arundel as they come from all over the UK. and you should book your Town House room well in advance.Walkability: Arundel can be reached by train (500m) from the city or by car. Generally easy parking except in August.

Staying at the Townhouse Arundel was our worst experience on our UK vacation. First of all, their lobby/bar area was under construction so we basically arrived to find a total mess as we entered. As breakfast is usually served in this area, we had no choice but to accept a breaksfast basket in our room for the following morning. The guy who checked us in (Sam) told us that he would be gone after 7pm but that we could reach someone on one of the two phone numbers provided on the back of our room door. As the evening progressed the room was colder and colder and there was no way for us to control the temperature. We tried several times calling both numbers, but nobody answered. We left a message on one of the numbers and the voice box was full on the other one. I also sent an email to the hotel. We eventually received a call back that evening from an ex-employee, and she wasn't very pleased that her number was still written on their room doors. She did say that she would call the owner for us, but nobody called us back after that. Needless to say, we barely slept in the cold room. Our email was answered the next day by Terry (owner?), but by that point it was obviously too late. I responded to Terry again, letting him know of our horrible experience, and asking for a full refund. He did not respond at all, even after I wrote a 2nd email when we returned home a couple of weeks later. If Terry is indeed the owner, or the manager, I am surprised at his lack of customer service and concern. If you are running a hotel, it is your obligation to have someone available in case of an emergency. Arundel is a lovely town and the castle is definitely worth the visit, but please do yourself a favour and stay someone else. This hotel clearly only cares about the their revenue, not their guests!

The hotel was in considerable disarray as it is in the process of refurbishment. Our room was interesting and If they do it well it has potential to be a good spot.

2/3 star "hotel" at a push. We were not advised the rooms were a couple of meters away from a music/entertainment venue so listening to people at 1am wasn't fun. Pretty dusty in the rooms also very old school decorations, Pictures over sell it. Bath with shower head but no stand up shower facilities in the double room. Staff were lovely and very nice considering how busy they were. The breakfast could be skipped for somewhere else in town.

We hired the Town House for a private party and had a wonderful evening. It sounds like there are exciting new plans for the venue and it?s already an excellent setting and location. Terry and Amy were most helpful tailoring our plans and everything went smoothly at a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend as a venue for small gatherings and parties.

The Town House proved to be an excellent venue for a surprise 60th birthday. For a small party - we numbered 18 in total - it worked a treat. The setting and ambience were great and the bar staff very friendly and helpful both before and during the event. The buffet was super and the baked Camembert with fresh crusty bread an absolute revelation as a 'party food' item. It was also very good value. Thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful stay.We arrived shortly after new owners took over. We were greeted with a warm welcome. The stayed in the King's suit, which was very comfortable.Arundel is magical, it was a lovely stayRooms: We had a very comfortable sleep in the beautiful Kings suiteNearby activities: Arundel castle is a must see.Walkability: We found one night, with two day's to explore everything was just right. Everything is in an easy walking distance, and we also did the walk around the lake which has lovely viewsFood & drinks: In the evening we enjoyed a beverage in the bar, we headed over the road to The Burger Shop, which was just delicious. After a walk we came back to the hotel for a cheese board back in the room, which had a very generous selection-more crackers needed for all that cheese! ?

The thing that stands out for me is the friendliness of the staff. All that we met were really helpful and good to chat to. Everything else was fine, oh and the little extras in our room - home made flapjack - what's not to like!

Large and elegant room. Staff were friendly and efficient. Great breakfast. Central location close to the castle but , even at the front, it was very quiet overnight. Bed very comfortable. Would stay again. Thanks!

Comfortable bed/room. Hotel well situated in centre of Arundel though parking needs a bit of luck. Currently doing breakfast but not supper. Plenty of restaurants otherwise in Arundel. Friendly and welcoming.
