Sunday lunch . Dissapointing . Grubby table . Disinterested staff. Food mediocre. Toilets dreadful.

We had a drink in the bar. It's just one room. It was very comfortable with two big leather sofas. They have coffee and cake. There are several table games available to play.Nearby activities: Really well located right in the middle of Arundel with the castle within walking distance and shops and restaurants right on the doorstop.Safety: Arundel is a very safe town.Walkability: Great location within walking distance of all amenities although the railway station is a bit of a walk.

Friendly, historic and cosy. If you are walking the South Downs Way give yourself a half way reward by stopping the night in Arundel. Lovely pubs, including the bar at the Norfolk Arms. Very nice breakfast too. Nothing not to like here.

Stayed here a couple of times while working away. First time had a single room on the second floor at the front of the hotel. Bed was lovely and comfy, however, the front rooms have wafer thin windows and you can hear everything in the street outside including every delivery lorry at 5am! Second time I had a huge room on the third floor out the back of the hotel, peace and quiet all night. Fabulous room for £90!

This is a lovely old hotel in a convenient location in Arundel. Our room was clean, comfortable and very cosy. The bed was very comfortable and pleasant lighting. There's a facility on the TV to cast programmes from your phone which was useful. We didn't use any of the dining facilities as we wanted to try out restaurants in Arundel.

What a Gem. I booked fairly late and had no idea what to expect. The Norfolk Arms is in the middle on this most historic and beautiful market town. With medieval castle and Cathedral to explore, the Norfolk Arms couldn't be better situated. I enjoyed a fabulous dinner (the cod is highly recommended), followed by a comfortable night in a clean and well apportioned room. Breakfast, in the most fabulous room, was delicious. Many thanks to all the kind staff who looked after us so well.

Popped in for early dinner and were really impressed with the food in the restaurant. Absolutely gorgeous onion and sage soup, pickled cucumber with the salmon and crab. Great bread baked on the premises. Friendly service. Formal enough to feel special and warm friendly service. We will be back!

I am very disappointed with this place. Having heard so much about it,I did expect it to be to be welcoming, charming, and professional, but it wasn't either of these. Popped into the bar, waited " ages " 10 minutes before a male staff member appeared, but carried on doing something at the bar, and NEVER acknowledged a customer was AT THE BAR ?. Then another male appeared and rummaged around at the back of the bar before eventually serving us but without any welcoming greeting AND no apology for ignoring us or for the delay. Only 3 customers were present, so they were NOT busy . The hotel bar was tiny, with awkward seating, curved, and by a draughty ill-fitting window, and one had to walk " sideways" to & from the seat to the bar in order to get seated. The door into the bar area was wide open, enabling more draughts from the hotel corridor into the small bar area. It was very cold,so naturally, we consumed our drinks quickly and departed. Not likely to return or indeed recommend this souless drab bar.

Popped in for a bite to eat. The food was average. The steak baguette was ok, slightly overcooked for my liking. The chips would have been better if they were homemade rather than frozen.
