We came across The George after having our reservation at another establishment cancelled and we were really glad we did. We called and booked a table and recieved a very warm welcome when we arrived. It was hard to choose what to have as the menu looked so good. Our food was absolutely delicious - the chef even made us a peppercorn sauce which wasn't on the menu. The service was first class - warm, efficient and friendly. Would absolutely recommend this gem of a place. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Would like to compliment this pub on having organised access to the wheelchair accessible toilet in the nearby village hall and having a ramp available for step as needed. We haven't visited (as yet) but it's such a breath of fresh air to have staff confident in answering these questions on the phone.

Had a lovely Birthday meal this eve at The George. The lady taking our order was really friendly and helpful in making our choices and we all enjoyed our courses. The bar had an excellent selection of everything we wanted also.. The place was busy with a lovely atmosphere. We would definately go again.

Special was ?Pork Belly? curry. It was actually pulled pork. Brought it to their attention, but they insisted it was pork belly. I know both pulled pork (from the shoulder or butt) and know pork belly (from the lower torso) and this was pulled pork.

Lovely pub. Had to laugh at Rachel Craig?s review, leaving a 1 star in relation to a cote de boeuf she wanted WELL DONE. Stick to chicken nuggets and chips if you can?t handle some pink beef ?

Nice location, pleasant staff, food was good, nothing special but expensive. Standard Haddock mushy peas and six large chips £20, roast cod, a few boiled potatoes and samphire £27. It was our second visit.
