Went in for a coffee with in laws while just passing by. Looked busy from outside, but still accommodated five of us and two friends later. Lovely place, choice of delicious cakes, attentive service, reasonably priced.

Visited with my daughter for a quick drink. Always like sitting upstairs under the exposed beams, and a really nice ambience in general. Felt comfortably cool even on a warm day. Staff were attentive and polite, and service was fairly swift. For a big tea drinker like myself they have a good selection to choose from. Real leaf tea as well, not just a teabag thrown into a pot. Even the China they served it in sat well with the general esthetic of the place. Never disappointed when we visit.

I called late afternoon for coffee and cake before catching a bus.
The decor is elegant and charming - absolutely perfectly suited for Arundel. Staff were pleasant and I only waited a few minutes. The atmosphere was relaxed and unrushed.
My decaf latte and lemon meringue pie were spot on - usually lemon meringue is either too tart or too sweet, but this was just right.

Excellent traditionally styled tea rooms in Arundel High Street. Ate a Sussex cream tea, excellent light and fresh scone, and a brilliant selection of delicious cakes. Worth a visit.

Shared a beautiful afternoon tea with my friend who had a ?special ? birthday! The team could not have been more obliging. The food was delicious- best scones ever and all the better for being warmed. I have an unusual dietary restriction and this was not an issue or concern to the team. Would thoroughly recommend but make sure to book. Simply the best!!

Not a great visit. My friend enjoyed her scone and coffee but my other friend and myself had tea and cake. The tea was really nice. The Victoria sponge wasn?t nice at all, very synthetic tasting and probably the worst I?ve tasted. My Sussex apple cake wasn?t great either. We eat a lot of cake and also we all bake so we know a good cake. The price of cakes are not displayed in the shop display or on the menu (why!?). Shockingly they were £4.85 a slice which makes it worse when the cake isn?t very nice. We are from London so used to extortionate prices but that is higher than most places in Chelsea. There are many places to have cake in Arundel so I would personally recommend to go elsewhere if you like cake.

Stumbled upon this place to kill time because of road closure in way home from Chichester.
It was a Friday afternoon, weather was very good. Town centre is bustling. This quaint tea room is busy too. It was about 2pm when I arrived. I was lucky to get a table as someone had just left. I was surprised at the coziness of this tearoom. I live just 10 mins away from Arundel for 8 yrs now but did not know this place even existed.
I ordered a cream tea set £8.50, it came in a huge pot of tea, I guess you easily can pour yourself 4 cups of tea. The tea came in loose tea leaves with a strainer presented. I had the plain scone with clotted cream, jam , butter and a strawberry for garnishing.
Everything is perfect, if I really want to pick bones, it would be nicer to present the butter in a dish rather than a pre-wrapped small block.
Again, I can understand why but it would have been really really perfect.
I have attached photos for you.
It was an upstairs seating.
All I can say is, everything is perfect.
The staff were friendly and efficient.
Half way through, a lady came snd asked if everything was okay which is very nice considering how busy this tea room was.
I would definitely come here again for lunch or even breakfast.
Beats going to Starbucks.

Excellent service, Tasty Gluten Free scones, a cozy atmosphere, and great value. My husband said his scone had a similar texture to a buttermilk biscuit in the US.
The place was full on a Thursday at 3:30 when we went, after an amazing visit to the castle and tulip gardens, so I recommend reservations.
There are very narrow stairs.
