Sat outside by the canal. Prefer to sit outside if weather okay. All orders at the Bar which is some short distance from outside seating.
Longer than expected wait between courses as no-one checking when first course completed but generally very good food with offers of 2 courses for £17.95 or 3 Bar snacks for ¥£12.

Had a lovely 2 course lunch today, served by the lovely Neve and Rob. Great service, cozy pub vibes and gorgeous food. Well worth the visit if your in the area, and with the added positive of being incredibly dog friendly - so you can bring your little pals with you (though they do require you to sit in their bar area with the dogs :) )

Took over 30m to get our food and it wasn?t exactly busy. Had to go back into the bar to ask how long it would be and it seemed as through the kitchen had just forgot about our order placed through the app. Nice outdoor garden area. Food was okay but nothing to shout about. Staff seemed friendly. Seemed strange also to get our food bought over then have to get up again to fetch my own cutlery from inside the building. Would be nice if it was bought out with the food.

The Anchor Inn has a great location with reasonable food but the service delivery and recovery is bad. Ordered a dish and was served a different dish. When I politely explained that it was the wrong dish and maybe they misunderstood my accent. I received a grumpy reply and was told that was an extra $7. With out question, I paid the difference and was not offered any apology for their mistake. We have dined here twice now. The first time the service was very average and the last time appalling. Would not recommend.
