My daughter had a dental abcess and although entitled to NHS treatment ( had a baby)she was unable to get into any dentist so ended up having to pay privately . Dentist gave her a prescription and we went to Pennfields pharmacy. She also is entitled to free prescription but as it was a private prescription she had to pay which she accepted as understood . The male pharmacist appeared sarcastic and unhelpful, making negative comments about the prescription and suggesting she should pay extra . He was bad mannered when he served her and showed a bad attitude towards her which made the whole experience unpleasant. I?ve used this pharmacy many times with no issues so i can only assume his negative and somewhat rude attitude was because she had a private prescription .

James is very helpful. Gives great advice. Recommend him to anyone. I spoke to him yesterday as I ordered home blood test for hormones for family member who is scared to do finger blood test and he said he is happy to do this. Thank you James. Will recommend you to all my friends and family.

Booked online for booster, very easy. Seen promptly and cannot fault the service. Staff very pleasant. System works well as long as people turn up on time(but NOT too early).

Daughter came in for her covid jab, the lady giving the jab was so miserable and obviously in the wrong profession. Definitely wouldn't recommend anyone going for there jabs here.

Very friendly place. I've always received my medications on time and even if it wasn't ready the staff would do everything to try and sort it out for me and I never have to call the surgery up myself. Always been treated with respect and politeness. That's the main thing that matters. Thank you so much to all Pennfield's staff

The pharmacist has solved my queries everytime I have a question. Very friendly pharmacist and staff who are always willing to answer my questions and go beyond just dispensing my meds. Out of all the pharmacies that I have been to this is the only one that has ticked all the boxes. Always efficient. Amazing work. Especially in this pandemic. thank you so much. I would highly recommend this place.

A primary example of racism that is so entrenched it even intruded on the dispensing of prescribed medicine. Despite being polite and friendly on every occasion that I have visited this Pharmacy I have always been met with discourtesy and hostility from the counter staff. The younger counter staff are perfectly polite, helpful and friendly. The middle aged female who is there the majority of the time responds to basic civility and courtesy with open contempt, constant racist micro aggression's, hostility, condescension and given the racially selective nature of this negative attitude, visceral and open racism (expressed in the form of non stop racist micro aggression's....abrupt, surly, unfriendly and down right rude and so, so, so very condescending ...sharply contrasting with the much warmer reception White and particularly South Asian customers receive). Absolutely disgusted! When it interferes with dispensing of medicine a VERY serious line has been crossed and is completely and utterly unacceptable. There is a legal requirement as part of the NHS contract to treat all patrons of this Pharmacy equally and fairly. I am in the process of escalating my grievances to the appropriate authorities as I am so disgusted with the treatment I received here. Casual petty racism was allowed to jeopardise my health.....I would advise all to avoid this Pharmacy!

I always get great service from the staff here especially the pharmacist. The staff are always helpful and make me feel a valued customer. I've tried other pharmacies and this one never lets me down. They provide a great service to our local community.

Not good at all I need to change from there ... asap no delivery when I told them I need delivery due to my issues now im relapsing cause I'm not getting my meds on time ...not only that never in stock for what I need an bad attitude at times .... It use to b nice but now I feel like they judge an talk about me behind my back.... I would give no stars if I could iv called sat at 4 and not open so now all weekend won't have my meds staff are imature the boy and the girl working here are very disrespectful laugh an mock ppl with illness and suppose to b doing a confidentiality respectful job...

I want to give no stars at all but 1 is the minimum. Appalling service, rude pharmacist, and a pharmacist that wouldn't read or follow instructions on an official NHS document even after I called the NHS helpline after being refused service and they told him what to do! He still didn't understand and refused me service for a 2nd time. If he cant follow simple instructions or read what is written on a form I would be very concerned about his ability to issue medication correctly! I went to Rexall Chemist on the Penn Road instead, they were very pleasant, read the forms I have and issued what was required no problem. I would recommend taking your business to them instead.
