I visited Metro Bank Wolverhampton to open a business account. Harnek attended to me where he was very helpful as he answered all my queries and got my account opened on the same day. The service was top notch and I strongly recommend Metro. I will be moving all my business across to Metro.

Waited 40 mins to be seen to and open a new account. You would think new sales would enourge staff and the Compang to grow.

Wolverhampton Branch. Absolutely horrendous customer service. Rude, obnoxious staff who prefer to refer you to a phone number than actually help you themselves. AVOID!

All fur coat and no knickers. The branches are very attractive, well designed and professional looking, but that is the only positive I can muster about this joke of a bank. The general service and the customer service skills of staff are abysmal. You experience much longer waiting times than other banks and I have noticed that employees often pace around the premises attempting to look busy, but not appearing to be doing much, when they should be behind the counter serving people in order to cut down waiting times! There's usually only one worker behind the counter when it can accommodate at least five! The attitudes of some of the workers also stinks. They really think they have authority over YOUR money. If they carry on the way they're going, all that money wasted on beautifying the premises will have gone to waste, because they're going to end up losing a lot of customers and going bust.

Avoid Metrobank at all costs was told it was free banking if you keep over £6000 in your bank account and do less than 30 transactions for business banking per month This was a lie if you pay in cash or withdraw cash you get charged this was not made clear to me. I ask for the charges to be refunded and was told they would need to investigate this.

A few times I have gone for country service wat surprises me is that each time their system was down. If they wanted to stand around looking pretty seeming busy then they are in the wrong place as I am very disappointed with metro bank. As for the phone services waiting for ages for call to be answered. But if you want listen to music the call them. The tunes are cool which icant say for the service

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! I attempted to open an account for a new charity I am setting up and initially everything seemed to go well. The process of submitting the application was fairly smooth; credit checks were passed and all that was required was some minor tweaks to our documentation. The application was then sent to be checked centrally for "due diligence checks". Around 2 weeks later, I received an email stating the application was declined "by one of our teams". I took the afternoon off work to sort it out at the branch (for which I don't get paid), who refused to tell me why, citing data protection. After saying I wanted to make a complaint, I spoke to a manager who reiterated the same and provided a contact number for a central team. I called them and they told me they couldn't help either and I needed to write to them, like it's 1950. Suffice to say I will do, and it will be as a formal complaint.

Had to visit the branch as card has been blocked. Spend 40 minutes waiting on the phone with their external provided to unblock it. Branch manager and staff helpful but the way how the bank is generally managed is appalling.
