Terrible service, Terrible attitude.
I went to the wood cutting counter this afternoon and there were several people in front of me.
I waited 10 minutes and no one came to serve us. One of the other customers came back and said he is on his 15 minutes break.
I waited another 10 mins and still no one came and the customer in front of me told me they had been waiting 30 minutes before I arrived.
I left the wood and went in search of a supervisor. Eventually I found a lady sitting behind a desk talking down to someone on the phone. When the call ended she asked me what I wanted. I explained the situation and she then said here he is and pointed to a young man she then said he has other things to do and customers to attend to so I asked why, shouldn't he be at the wood counter. She said he is paid to do what ever he is asked to do and I said but there is a queue at the wood counter and she replied well he is busy doing other things.
I left the shop discusted.
Really B & Q if you are going to keep people waiting, put up a notice and provide chairs. I am 66. With a walking stick.
And if he is busy doing other things, provide a bell so at least he knows you are waiting. Leaving customers unattended and without any information is just not good enough.
You even had the cheek to announce your wonderful wood cutting service over the load speaker while we were waiting.
Not very organised and a terrible attitude, especially as she could see I am disabled.

Went to B&Q Bilston twice recently to ask about MDF cutting. Both times different staff told me they ?don?t do it anymore? in a dismissive way. I believed them and ended up buying four packs of ready-made panelling kits instead ? costing me around £80 more than if I?d just bought MDF and had it cut.
I raised a complaint to head office and honestly it felt like I got a copy-and-paste, AI-generated response. No real sign they?d looked into who the unhelpful staff were, no offer of a goodwill gesture, and no genuine concern about the extra cost I?d been put out of pocket.
Very poor service and even poorer complaint handling.

Bit of a disorganised mess, especially the timber yard where it's difficult to work out how much things cost, and wood doesn't have barcodes so when you get to the til you need to ask staff or look the product up online.

I went to BQ Wolverhampton branch early this morning 9.30am 22.7.25, and saw x2 Sun Loungers in the entrance of the store. I went to the tills to see if a member of staff could help me as the box was too big for me to lift into the trolly, unfortunately after waiting for approx. 10 mins + , no staff came to help me which was very disappointing. Luckily the security person, Steve he came and helped me he was very helpful and put the Sun Loungers into the Trolly for me . I did not see any staff anywhere in the store to come and help me , I hope they get more staff soon

Good place to buy all your DIY tools and any household tools etc but most of the time you can't find any staff when you need assistance!

What a disappointing experience. I ordered a polycarbonate sheet for collection, and initially it said it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, after I completed the payment, the estimated time changed to 1 hour and 15 minutes. I gave it plenty of time and arrived at the store 5 hours later, only to be told they couldn?t locate the item.
According to their online system, there were 15 sheets of the exact size I ordered in stock, plus dozens of others in different sizes ? yet the staff claimed they couldn?t find a single one. Completely unacceptable and frustrating.
Unfortunately, this isn?t the first time this has happened. On several occasions, their system shows items as available in-store, only for me to find out later that they?re either not in stock or no one can find them. It?s incredibly unreliable and disappointing.

miserable woman working in the paint mixing section, the prices were wrong on the shelf and she wouldnt honour it (which is fair enough) but the way she spoke was truly disgusting

Can?t browse store for any time before 10am Sunday opening whereas most large stores allow this.

Today called to B&Q Bilston. Early before the queues started. Wrong there was 1 check out operator. Self scan was closed. The previous shopper brought something that didnt have a price code so had to wait until help arrives. The next customer again had problems with his purchase. This was now beyond a joke. MANAGEMENT YOU NEED MORE STAFF. But its everywhere you go now.
