“Went here to do a relatively quick transaction, however the queue was very big for a Saturday morning. Some people in there struggle with basic banking and the staff have to pair up to get simple transactions to make sense for them. The reason for this was, in one case, lack of basic English so one staff member was speaking in the mother tongue of the customer and then translating that to the other staff member so it became a rather disconcerting and convoluted process. There are self service points for withdrawals and another point for deposits. The branch is quite spacious and generally the staff are friendly and helpful.”

“Generally a nice branch and decent staff. I like it as it's nice tidy clean branch with fairly low footfall. It has a ramp access with electrically operated door for less abled customers which is good. It has a single internal paying in and cash out ATM. I have been using this branch for nearly a decade. I have given it 4 stars as it is not outstanding and in need of modernisation. I would recommend this branch to others.”

“I am surprised at all the negative reviews. I have been a customer for 20 years and I love the staff at this branch. The manager Nick and his assistant manager Jay have always been helpful and attentive as well as the staff. I just wish they didn't take away the customer service desk which used to be placed at the front.”

“The customer service I have received today has been wonderful thanks to a man called Arvi and his apprentice. Every query I had got resolved even after the branch was closed to the public. I felt looked after. I don’t have a HSBC account I am managing someone else’s - things can get tricky with these things. It helps when someone knows what they’re doing and gets it done.”

“This my local branch and over the last 10 years that I have used this branch I have had some good and really bad experiences.However, this December I deposited some money using a branch machine but the money was never processed by the machine. After, a few enquiries with Barclays online teams and a few call I was told to go to the branch as they would have to check that particular machine that I have used as there was no record of the deposited money.I went to the branch a 09:30 on 28th December 2023. The member of staff that deal with this was NANA.She resolved the issue very efficiently despite it being a very complex problem. Despite telling me it could take upto 7 days before it is fully resolved. Nana called me on the same day at 16:00 to confirm that they have identified the problem with the machine and that the money will be deposited into my card.As it took some time for this to appear on the system and this to be seen by the online Barclays team. I was again told to go to my branch do that they can confirm the issue with the machine . When, I went back on the 29th December 2023 Nana was already working on this and dealing with the relevant teams even before I had request that additional explanation to be sent to the online teams.She was very professional and reassuring that everything will be resolved. I was quite worried as the amount of money that was missing was not small.She dealt with everything very efficiently, the best team members that I have ever encountered in this branch. All the information that she gave me was correct, unlike some of the confusing information I got from the online teams.Very grateful for her service. Wishing her all the very best in her career.Nana thank you again, I really appreciate everything you have done to fully resolve this problem. I felt that you really took this issue to heart and went above and beyond to fix it.I am still waiting for an email from Barclays to give this member of staff the deserved feedback. Therfore, I have decided to give her a shot out here, as her amazing service has to be recognised.”

“Came here with a complicated issue, and wanted to say a huge thanks to the staff, particularly the female manager (long dark brown hair, apologies I didn't catch your name!) for assisting me earlier this week. Professional, understanding, clear with information, even tried her best to come up with other possible solutions to help me, whilst taking care of speaking to someone over the website bot much better than I could have. “Went into branch at 12.30 last Saturday not realising it closed at 1pm. When we arrived the security guard was really friendly and advised us where to wait. There were several people in front of us and it was a bit of a wait. We were quite conscious that it was nearly closing time, but the staff were extremely professional and friendly, and did not make us feel rushed. We were in on mortgage related business, and the member of staff had to get a colleague to advise. It was lovely to see that there was obviously a culture of support in branch. As there was a slight issue with a transaction, another member of staff was also requested to check details, and again, this was done in a friendly and supportive manner. It was probably about 1.15 by the time we left (apologising for keeping them behind), but they were polite and friendly throughout. Excellent service”
