I visited Decathlon at Wednesbury) today to collect some heavy gym equipment and to purchase some clothing. I gestured for help and a friendly guy price-checked three items for me, put aside items not wanted and then helped me at the self-checkout. Jack then went out of his way to take my heavy gym equipment to my car (in the heavy rain!) and had a great sense of humour about it. Great experience.

Used to love this shop but it?s really gone downhill over the last few years.
Terrible to find anything as it?s all randomly thrown on rails and quite often the floor. Showing 4 of an item in stock, I managed to find one. Asked the staff for help locating others and was told ?people throw stuff all over the place, it could basically be anywhere?.
The few items I was looking for that I did manage to find were actually cheaper in store than online, this highlights another issue- price tags are random and often incorrect (at least this time it went in my favour).

Bought my nephews bike several years ago, and since have been a repeat customer!
The bike mechanic at the time was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain what had been done in detail.

? Extremely Disappointed with @DecathlonUK ?
I ordered a bike online and received it on 12th June. After assembling it the next morning, I noticed a serious issue with the handle and steering. I took it to the Wednesbury store, where staff confirmed it was a manufacturer defect. Even worse, they said the bike is not road legal in the UK due to a throttle ? it could be seized if ridden!
? I filed a return in-store on 13th June at 15:34
? The bike was collected on 21st June
? It?s now 12th July ? still no refund
Now I?m being told £80 will be deducted for depreciation ? even though the bike was never ridden, only transported in a car to the store!
This is unacceptable. I trusted Decathlon for quality and service, but this experience has been nothing short of frustrating and unfair. I expected better.

Thank you to to the staff I saw today at Wednesbury. I highly rate their own brand stuff but made the mistake of buying a Vango Brand Mirco chair instead of the Decathlon version. This completely snapped at Glastonbury Festival ! Of course I left it there as one always have heaps of stuff to carry. The lovely manager and branch manager managed to sort out a refund despite leaving the broken chair at Glastonbury. I will be back;) Really appreciate it. Made my day very pleasant.

After a visit to this store yesterday the 2 July I was disappointed with the fishing tackle isle,lots of stuff just thrown on the floor not in an organised way and 90 percent of goods had no prices on especially chairs and luggage in the end I walked out won't go back here again I like to see how much things are before I take them to the tills

I went a few times before they were really nice no problems today I went to get my derailer fixed because it doesn?t switch gears sometimes it just needs setting, the guy said £45 but over the phone he said £10 he then also told me to leave the store because I proved to him that it won?t cost £45 to set the gears. Never getting a bike from here in the future will definitely just go Halfords as Halfords never disappoint.

The guys over at Wednesbury are super! Really helpful, polite and all in all great guys. Initially Dani answered and did all he could, given his short time working there showed great customer service. He then passed me over to Will who again liaised with another manager to help me out and keep aside what is needed to make another happy customer. Thank you again for all your help

I was promised a kids bike in stock and then sold the bike on the shop floor with paint scratched off. Then told we cannot get a refund although we were missold!! Will defo not be buying here again. And Alex (short guy) who served us so rude!! Not willing to help tried to do anything for us not to get a refund or even exchange!!

Recently had my bike serviced here. I?d say it?s a high-end electric bike, I was a little uncertain about bringing it to a store like this, rather than go to a Specialist. However, following the service I received, I can confidently say it is second to none. Couple of new tyres, cleaned, fully serviced, repaired my dropper too FOC? All for a very very reasonable price.
I will also be using the store from now on for all things camping, sports, bikes, purely down to the customer service and assistance I was given from Will, the manager.
In rushing out of the store, I left my rather expensive charger outside on a post, this had everything in the box from tools, paperwork, receipts of services, proof of purchase and PIN codes for access to the app. Needless to say I?d be up a creek, without a paddle without it. When I arrived home and realised it was missing, I called the store and Will checked outside to find it was gone. He then kindly offered to check back through CCTV to see if it had been handed in, which unfortunately was not the case. Someone had picked it up, checked what it was, jumped in the van with it and drove off. Following this, I would usually have expected ?it?s unfortunate? response, ?You should contact the police?. You can imagine calling the police saying could you look for a white van in Wednesbury, with no registration plate, or real description due to the quality of the CCTV footage.
Not this time? Will checked the person leaving the store and managed to track them down, call them and give them the ultimatum of returning the box or having the details sent to the police. They chose to return it the same day and as a result I had my charger and all the bits back in my possession within a few days. I honestly could not be more grateful Decathlon! Saved me a lot of time, hassle, and money? And as a result, you will have me as a customer for a long time.

I personally go to this store often; the staff is top-notch, I have no complaints. However, during my last visit, when I also bought a bicycle, I noticed that the store needs cleaning. I recommend that you clean both the inside and the outside!
