Isobel T on the carvery station was very kind and pleasant and friendly. She made the atmosphere much more enjoyable for my family. Food was yummy and it was a nice relaxing environment.
Dietary restrictions: They checked for any dietary restrictions prior to putting order through which I thought was very good.
Kid-friendliness: Kid corner entertained the little one.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.

Excellent carvery, popular venue. All staff friendly and bar working. Donna, who works on waitressing, very hard woking. I can recommend the establishment.

Service was absolutely great however food was not good at all, there were missing ingredients on the food and food was way to overcooked and not enjoyable at all for what I spent to enjoy a nice family meal I was not impressed at all before arrival I was contacted to be told there carvery had ran out and that we had to pick from the normal menu to then the food be completely overcooked and not able to eat staff didn?t come over to check to see if food was ok either

The staff are AMAZING; can I just put that out there first please. So cheerful and very welcoming to my friend and I.
The utter let down though was the carvery. I paid for a regular, there was no beef, I was left with turkey or gammon (why does nobody serve pork anymore?). I chose the gammon and although highly delicious, there was VERY little of it served. Yes your Yorkshire puddings are big and crispy, but they?re also BLAND. Just like your vegetables. Overcooked mush which has had no seasoning in their cooking. The lack of the gratin potatoes as advertised on your website was as disappointing as not getting some beef or alternative to turkey/ gammon. Cauliflower cheese, it was cauliflower in a ?minimal? white sauce without a hint of cheddar about it and again unseasoned, so without the cheese to help it along it couldn?t stand.
The red cabbage, became palatable with the extra addition of further cranberry sauce from the condiments table (which I have say, your cranberry and horseradish sauces are the really bom-diggy) - but it was not enough.
Your roasts weren?t crispy, they were leathery (why a fascination with crispy exists today over taste, I?ll never know).
As someone who grew up witnessing starvation in the world, I think it is criminal to leave food on your plate - but on this occasion I sadly had to or I know I would have been sick in my stomach for the night.
All - in - All I paid £10 for a couple of slices of nicely cooked, tasty gammon.
Oh and the sherry trifle cheesecake - delightful, but a shame it is served with squirty cream which had turned to weak milk by the time it reached my table. Shame it?s not real aerated cream as it would have been an absolute triumph ??
Vegetarian options: They?re on there and sound nice.
Dietary restrictions: Was asked if there were any restrictions/allergies at our table. Thought this was very good.
Kid-friendliness: Mahoosively Kiddy friendly!
Wheelchair accessibility: Yup, very well geared-up for the users of wheelchairs - from flat, wide accessibility at the door, to tables being well spaced.
We witnessed a wheelchair user being supported at the bar. Very well done to staff.

We hadn't booked a table and stopped by on the off chance, the gentleman who was front of house (apologies I didn't get his name) was extremely helpful and friendly and seated us within 5 minutes. We ordered on the app which was simple (although perhaps should be an option to write notes or customise the order... for example my daughter wanted the chicken burger but doesn't like cheese and there isnt an option to ask for it without on the app so we had to scrape it off when the food arrived). We also ordered 2 adult carveries but we weren't given tickets and had to ask how we got the carvery to be told to just show the email receipt to the chef... this wasn't made clear until we asked. Gravy was very watery and most of the sauces were just empty bowls by this time, I had to ask for some to be refilled.
Over all staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere, food was lovely, fresh and tasty.

Food wasn?t bad, what was even worse was the customer service. ZERO POINTS. Manager right down to the staff. This was my 1st visit. I arrived. Was taken to my seat. I sat down and waited waited and waited for service. In the end I asked ONE of Your guests what the process was. I was kindly told I have to go to the bar and pay. Surely the staff should guide you through the whole process. Bar staff, it seemed like an effort to serve me, then as the finale, I had finished my lunch, a lady came and just said? have you finished with your plate?! No please, thank you, was your meal ok. I will ask Marstons directly what there Pub chains customer service policy is.
