We had a terrific experience at this branch in Walsall on 23/01/24 exchanging some old games and consoles that had just been sitting around in boxes for a few years.Isaac, my fella?s youngest son, had played his PS4 incessantly for 5 years until it gave up the ghost a couple of weeks ago, which was quite obviously ?the end of the world? for any sane 12 year old? So, being a bit short of cash after Xmas, we decided to gather around 15 old PS, Xbox and Wii games together, along with an old xbox and controller etc and take them to CEX to see how much we could get against a refurbed PS5, along with some of Isaac?s Xmas and saved pocket money.We were fortunate enough to be assisted by the lovely, and very handsome, Anthony, a knowledgeable member of staff who was extremely helpful and empathetic to Isaac?s woes. Anthony gave us an AMAZING deal on the bundle we took in, offering us a whopping £242 against a digital PS5 (in stock with a two-year warranty!) priced at £360. Isaac was obviously overjoyed at this deal and only had to put in £120 of his hard-saved cash to secure a shiny new (refurbed) console. Chuffed to bits, he was?.The staff in there were all fantastic and worked really hard to get him the very best deal possible, and I wish I could mention them all by name but I only caught Anthony?s name, and he really was super-fantastic, really a great (and very cool) guy!! There were another two male colleagues who helped a lot, and two gorgeous ladies who went above and beyond to put a smile on Isaac?s face. It?s worth popping down just to see Anthony?s fabulous beard, which is very impressive on its own, and also to see all the great deals they have in store.All in all, we had a great experience, and the staff really are a credit to the company. They should probably all have a pay rise actually, they really are that great and they definitely deserve it.I can recommend this shop and will definitely be going back, even if it?s just to drop in some doughnuts as a thank you.An excellent experience all round xxx

If I could give a negative rating I would this place is the lair of the minimum wage gatekeepers I got out the car went into the store it was spitting with rain a couple droppers landed on the exterior of the item I was selling a monitor and was told because the item was wet they won't buy it it wasn't wet or faulty proven by the fact cash converters purchased it from me no problemSend trainers hereUnless you look like a humming goth your not welcome there

More passable but barely tolerable service lately. I never seem to be in a queue compared to the old days and even other cex stores these days. Is that a good reflection on the store or good for me when i have limited time?\\n\\nLess stock is in and the focus is probably on testing electronics which i prefer to keep for as long as possible. Staff arent great at small talk and one time it felt like i was being talked out of making a sale and was also made to feel like someone with no knowledge of the dvd market for no solid reason. I did learn cracks in dvds are a hazard. How time has flown since vhs was passe.\\n\\nLocation and speed of service make return visits a sure thing.\\n\\n**EDIT\\nThanks for the response... I was just making a joke about the store...\\nPerhaps a little on the nose but I really do wish more dvd shops existed now but the market is what it is. Even when I did queue it was more enjoyable to do this attending other similar shops..I think I am just saying I am busier than I used to be and this store is actually the quickest of the 4 I know
