Used to go quite a lot in the past, but went today for the first time in 18 months and really surprised how poor the level of service and quality of food has gone down hill. They tell you it?s table service yet if my father in law hadn?t gone up to the bar after a 45 minute wait to order food we would still be there now lol so slow to do anything. Food wasn?t as good as in the past, and the pastry lid on my pie was literally half the size of what they used to be. Won?t be in any rush to go back sadly.

We arrived at 545 the waiting staff took forever to ask for you food and drinks order, we got our own drinks in the end ..at 7pm we still hadn't got our food order..so we left as we had other arrangements to be at.. ridiculous never known service like it.. as we asked them to cancel our order as we had waited so long the waitress just laughed

most of staff need replacing we were told table service only which wouldn't be a problem if it happened went to the bar after 30 minutes and told again table service only after the person had just served someone absolute shame as I've used this place since it first opened and food has always been great if the staff spent as much serving as they do talking maybe it wouldn't be up for sale

The famous pie factory, I've been here a couple of times in the last 10 years, it's a very quirky pub with sawdust on the floor. The food was hot and tasty, I couldn't eat all my gammon so was provided with a box to take it home. Will I visit it again? Hell yeah!

We visited the pie factory for an evening meal. The steak pies were full of good meat and very tasty gravy, chips were hot and crispy.
Staff were quick to serve without rushing you, friendly and efficient. Lovely relaxed atmosphere,
Bought a frozen pie to take home with us.
We will most definitely return for another meal

I've been here 7 or 8 times over the past 5 years. It had always been 5 star.
Today it wasn't. Battered chips were very dry and cold. Absolutely not fresh at all. There's no excuse to be serving chips that bad. Normally your battered chips are top notch.
Mushy peas also just didn't taste right. There was a very sour/off taste and smell, like something had gone off.
It was 6pm and very quiet when we arrived, so maybe the chef felt they could pass off yesterday's/the afternoons food.
Sort it out. Really disappointed.
I'll come back again, but if it's not up to standard next time then it will be my last visit.

Absolutely loved it here today. I've been wanting to come for ages and it didn't disappoint.
Food was lovely as were the staff. Particularly liked the humour throughout the pub and the olde world charm.
