Been using this chippy about 20 years , it was a great chippy once upon a time that you could not fault for quality & service not to mention value for money. In my experiences in recent years staff attitudes have changed & customers need to be prepared to argue the toss if you find an issue with your food. Good practice would be to listen, apologise, and simply fix it . No back and forth with gobby staff who think they know best. Its not good mentality to believe customers must always be wrong. If you get it wrong you need to own it !
Prices are rather high, & really eye watering if you are ordering on home delivery apps.
More variety of items on the menu should not impact on quality -no matter how busy you are each kebab meat and fish should be cooked thoroughly, ( i recommend thermometer batch probing to check temperature before serving).
My latest experience I ordered online. My 3 portions of Cod fish fritters arrived crammed in one box and RAW. And i mean TOTALLY RAW not undercooked. The irish curry sauce was hard and old. The kebab meat was undercooked, parts of it was hot and other parts totally cold. Have not reached out to the shop- hashing it out is just draining. However, i did think that the pictures supplied to the delivery service would prompt the shop to give me a call to investigate. Guess my expectations are set too high!

I always visit when I'm in the area for the orange chips. Too them beauties with large mixed donner meat and you got a massive bit if snap.

Worst service, takes ages to make single order, worst customer service, don't even know how to talk, if you ask them why it takeslong they will tell you to cancel order if you can't wait

Food is 10/10 first time ordering here. Fresh food and portion size are great. Best battered chips ive tasted. Anywere else 9pm on a sunday night you would get stale scraps. Would give more stars if i could

Just eat are killing this company, fake delivery time and cold food, staff are worse than just-eat.co.uk, impolite and don't care , it's not there problem to get hot cooked food to customers

Not bad experience however I have had my order messed up twice,first time she put the wrong sauce and second time forgot to add salad when I payed extra.

Popped in after finding out that the guy who used to run Majors was running it and found it to be very similar to Major's.
Food was decent overall but the chips were a bit too greasy for me which was pretty much what I thought of Major's.
The batter on the fish was nice and crispy and the fish was fresh but feel that the batter could have done with a little bit more seasoning, this was the same for the beer battered onion rings as well as you could taste the beer batter slightly but a little bit of salt or a little more salt in the batter would have elevated the taste a little bit more.
Asked for salt and vinegar on the chips and didn't have any either.
We also gave the mixed meat a try and that was very nice.

First time ordering chicken tikka kebab large with chips. Small section of meat and half the tray of chips. Costs me £8.80. Most of the kebab meat is burnt.

I came from Germany for this fish and chips and I was surprised about the freshness of the food.
The location is very clean and the stuff is very friendly and recommending the best food option for you.
When I come back to England I will definitely come back to you for eating fish and chips
