Very frustrating branch. To be fair they usually have stuff in stock, HOWEVER I have stopped going there due to the staff.
I regularly use a number of other local branches; Sutton, Erdington, Tamworth and Perry Barr, yet it is only at Minworth that every single time I get harassed for details (postcode, address etc) by the young woman behind the desk. She is awkward and officious.
The joke is that when I refused to give her my postcode she said it was necessary for ?data protection?. I had do point out it was in fact MY data and I was protecting it by not giving it to her.
Oh well, there are plenty of other branches locally and the one at minworth will simply have one less regular customer now.

Most products are in stock and placing an order online and collecting is very easy. Staff are very patient and help, returns are easy too.

I would like to formally lodge a complaint regarding the service I received at your Minworth branch on 30th November 2024
I purchased four radiators and was served by the store manager, Alistair. Upon collecting my order, he retrieved the first radiator and flung it onto the counter, causing the brackets to fall out (you may wish to check the CCTV footage). One of his colleagues even suggested from the back that he use a trolley to transport the items, but Alistair ignored this suggestion.
I then asked if he was going to carry the radiators out to my car one by one, to which he did not respond. I made it clear that I would not be carrying them myself, especially considering that both the Perry Barr and Aston branches had previously gone out of their way to provide exceptional service by placing my radiators on a trolley and carrying them to my car. The only reason I chose Minworth was because they had all four in stock.
Alistair then took the radiators to the back of the store and out the side, and I proceeded to load all four into my car on my own. I asked him if he was the manager, and he replied, "One of the managers."
I feel genuinely let down by this experience. The level of service at Minworth was disappointing, especially compared to the excellent customer service I?ve received at your other branches. I would appreciate it if this feedback could be passed on to Alistair, as it seems he may benefit from further customer service training. Just imagine if this had been an elderly person attempting to carry four radiators without assistance.
Due to this, I will not be using this store again.

Around twelve months ago before the staff change it was nice place to shop. Now, there are a couple of bad eggs, who really do not want to be there. Toolstation may now be the better option.

Terrible experience all the time. What's the point of pressing the collect now button if you still have to queue? You can stand at the collect now section but no one will serve you, they keep serving other customers.
Absolutely frustrating, I can see my products sitting on the shelf but have to wait till they serve other customers before they give them to me! Makes no sense!
Also the staff have such a bad attitude, they never apologise for making you wait and always in a mood.
Will be going to Toolstation from now on as better prices and friendlier service.

I would suggest top management look into the customer service element. The tool station people seem knowledgeable when asked about a question on the product. But I won?t dismiss screwfix as some products are good price. But service is important as well.

This place has lazy staff, not accommodating, if you don't know the product code they are not willing to help you, stick to Toolstation alot more friendly.
