Terrible Experience ? Order Lost, Poor Service, and a Frustrating Process
I placed an online order that was split into two parcels. The first collection went smoothly, but the second was a complete disaster.
When I arrived to collect the second parcel, I entered my order number into the system, which confirmed it would take up to three minutes. However, as more customers arrived and placed their orders, they were served while I continued to wait.
After some time, I approached an assistant, Rachel Ann, to ask about my order. She immediately insisted I had not entered my order number correctly, even though I had. She took me to the tills, still claiming I hadn?t done it, despite my repeated assurances. She then spent around 10 minutes on the computer before stating she needed to make a phone call that could take up to 30 minutes. As I was on my lunch break, I told her I?d return at 4 PM.
Before I left, she took me back to input my order number again. This time, the system failed, yet she still insisted I hadn?t entered it correctly. Frustrated, I left the store.
When I returned at 4 PM, Rachel Ann had finished her shift, and I was assisted by Louise, who was extremely helpful. The assistant store manager, Shoma, was also incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, by then, my order was missing?likely handed to another customer that Rachel Ann had served before me. The only resolution? To reorder, as my item was now gone.
To add insult to injury, I have now received an email thanking me for collecting my order?an order I never actually received!
This experience was completely unacceptable. If it weren?t for Louise and Shoma, it would have been even worse. The process needs serious improvement to prevent this from happening again.

I visited this store on 30/11/24 to collect a parcel for my son ,for some work clothes. Entering the store, the security guard gave me and my two sons such dirty looks , kept following us even though we were collecting a parcel. I also wanted a jumper for work,so while I was looking there was a woman who I presume was some sort of supervisor,kept staring at me and made me feel uncomfortable. She kept following me and then asked if I needed anything. I politely said no , I knew what I was looking for . She was looking at me and my boys as if we were shoplifters. Considering I bought the jumper anyway. It?s not nice been judged or stereotyped and don?t like people assuming that just because my boys are teenagers ,they are far from scallywags or troublemakers. Rude , uncomfortable and appalling behaviour of how to treat customers.

Young mobs walked into the ladies changing rooms whilst I was trying clothes on. 2 staff members were present, but to busy chatting to each other and didn't notice the lads in the ladies changing rooms until I shouted and swore at them. Awful experience felt let down and violated. Changes need to be implemented with lockable doors not curtain on a rail!!!

None of the staff want to serve at the till. Waiting in queue while 3 staff members were either chatting or pretending to look busy (nothing they were doing was critical and even if it was they could have informed of when someone would be available). No acknowledgement or consideration that people were waiting at all, very rude actually. They need self service machines if they can't get the staff that value customers.

Helpful staff plenty of choice

My son and I both required a formal shirt, a casual shirt and a suit each for an upcoming wedding. Next was the first place that we thought of and our local store is Princess Alice Drive in Sutton Coldfield. We went to the formal shirt rack first. All of the shirts that were not white were slim fit. Neither of us is overweight but we are men and have male physiques. Our shoulders are broader than those of the average twelve year old boy, so slim fit shirts do not fit. Disappointed we looked at the casual shirts that were single colour with button down collars. Two racks each of light blue, dark blue and green. Racks of them were available and every single one without exception was slim fit. We didn't bother to look at the suits as we are pretty sure they would all be slim fit. Surely this is discrimination. Next obviously have an agenda here. We walked out of the store and took our business elsewhere, to a store where regular fit clothes and slim fit were available. We would have spent £132 on shirts alone. I am so glad that with a recession looming that the Next stores can afford to discriminate against customers.
