I want to express my appreciation for the excellent service I received from Shahzad at Sutton Coldfield branch
From the moment I approached the counter, he was friendly, professional, and very attentive.
Afterwards, He then patiently explained the credit card application process, answered all my questions clearly, and made sure I understood the different credit card options available. Their knowledge and courteous manner made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. He supported me through the application which was successful.
It?s not every day that you come across such helpful and customer-focused service. I left the branch feeling confident about my decision and grateful for the support I received.
Thank so much Shahzad, keep up the fantastic work.

Shahzad was incredibly helpful, responsive and courteous. His customer service skills are excellent. Walking away having been supported with immediate needs and having a much better understanding of the range of availbale products and services. He is a real asset to the branch.

Absolutely disgusted. After explaining that my grandmother has lost £500 due to their ATM machine not working, she was treated as though she was lying and was a criminal. Told there was nothing that they can do, despite it being their ATM machine, and told to call head office. Will 1000% be closing all our accounts with nationwide as we simply cannot trust them with our money any longer. £500 is alot of money to be told there is nothing we can do.

Very poor service. A desolate reception, weak staff to public ratio. I had an issue, a very sensitive issue that had to be thrashed out of publicly, at the main counter. There was zero empathy, just churning out cold, heartless terms and conditions. So condescending and rude. Basically if you have a Junior ISA your money is trapped and controlled by the bank. Even if your child is disabled, you cannot access it even though YOU put the money in there in the first place until they are 18 under a COURT ORDER. You have to go to COURT to access your own child's money. SO DO NOT OPEN A JUNIOR ISA. THE BANK KEEPS YOUR MONEY AND INVESTS IT TO MAKE MORE MONEY THROUGH CASINO BANKING - BUT YOU HAVE ZERO RIGHTS OVER IT!
North Korean banks give you more access. Just think about that.

We went this branch for advice on a Power of Attorney situation. We cannot praise Connor highly enough. He was most helpful, informative and friendly. He understood exactly what our problems were and immediately set about solving them, in terms that we understood.He is an asset to your company and went the extra mile to help.

I have been with Nationwide since 2010 and sure, there were teething problems and as Building Society but they have come forward in leaps and bounds over the last 14 years. That said, I have been living in Sutton Coldfield for four years and I have never had a problem until today. There is a woman at the front desk as you walk in that I needed some very important information on but she completely misinformed me, had I left the bank without being adamant that I got the correct information I would have felt very deflated. Get rid of her or send her for training!

Stood in reception in Sutton Coldfield branch by agent who was on phone. She did not acknowledge me and next to her were two members of staff just chatting about personal things and having a giggle. After 10 minutes with no acknowledgement whatsoever I walked out and went to another bank to place my full years ISA allowance and transfer funds from another bank. So staff ignoring me as a new customer cost them a significant transfer. Think staff need training on at very least greeting and acknowledging customers.

I have had an account here for a few years now and have watched the customer service go downhill for the last three years or so. The main theme in there seems to be go away and use the machines. I now find that they are bragging that they are not closing this branch down. Go ahead and shut it I say! just leave the machine outside the branch working. I get better service from that machine than from any of the staff.

Reading the response to Kal Louise review, below!Terrible - ?encourage and educate customers on how you can manage your account without needing to use the over-the-counter service?Maybe people can?t take out hundreds from the ATM, like me! I?m only allowed £300 per day, so increase that and we will!!Cheek ?

Not the most politest of staff. Went in the branch yesterday to withdraw funds. I went to the desk. The lady said I can use the machine, I said to her that sadly I can only take out a certain amount at the machine and it also doesn?t let me take out change. It was only then she asked how much I wanted.Teach your staff to know what they are going on about first before guessing. Very lazy nowadays and don?t want to do anything!Not impressed.
