The staff were lovely but the salad bar was probably the best element of my meal there. In our party we had lukewarm meats, chicken that looked under in the centre, cold apple pie, melted ice cream, and the best one was no eggs for the gammon when you have a Tesco and a Sainsburys across the road . Definitely not in a hurry to come back.. my chicken was tough and the jacket potatoes was like leather on the base

As a party of 11 including small children nothing was too much trouble. Food was impeccable. Our waiter Tom was amazing even singing happy birthday all by himself in a busy restaurant. Special props to stu and the kitchen team with a shout out going to Owen for the birthday girls special dessert.

I would to thank certain members of your team for a lovely experience for mine and my partner for a lovely anniversary at your place. Greated by a blonde lady who was management we sat it the bar had a drink before we went in to the restaurant area. We was served by Richard who was friendly and efficient and and there when needed. Would also like to thank the chef on duty Ashley the food was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Thank you very much for being part of our special day and making in amazing with all your contributions

On the menu the classic breakfast sounded great, in reality it was really awful. The yolks of the poached eggs were like squash balls, the fat on the bacon had hardly been rendered, the baked beans were cold, as was the isolated field mushroom , the cooked half a tomato and even the hash browns - probably all due to the fact that the plate was so cold. Thankfully the sausages were slightly warm and tasty. They haven't learnt that to keep food warm they need to use hot plates and if delivering food to a table of four hungry adults (there to celebrate with a birthday breakfast) they should be putting the made up plates under infrared lamps or whatever so they can be served at the same time. Seriously disappointing, even the childrens pancakes were cold so would not be eaten by the attending two young children. However, because it was a birthday meal, nobody wanted to complain (because you don't want any confrontation) - not as though we were asked "is everything all right?" The lavassa coffee provided was the worst I have ever tasted. In Italy, with their strong muddy coffee they give you a shot of Grappa to take the taste away - lol

Booked 6 weeks ago for a festive menu meal with friends for a Xmas get together, reminded me by email yesterday and when we arrive no turkey meals available??? What is a festive menu ??

5.30 visit, cold outside and sadly not very warm inside, we moved away from the door where we had been seated and were made to feel awkward for wanting to move. Service at table ok, new member of staff, she did everything she needed to do, except bring te bill in a timely manner. Food for 4 of us, 1 had a mixed grill, all OK. 2 of us had a new Mediterranean tart, dreadful, veg in a bland tomato sauce, filling is warmed up separately from the pastry case, which was inedible. Chips were lukewarm. I won't be visiting again in a hurry, appreciate the majority of food served is meat based, but the vegan options are awful.

I cant abide poor service and attitude . Literally to be served cold food and when i said im sorry its cold it was like well if you want another meal , with a jacket potato it?ll be another 40mins ! i went i cant wait im starving after an hour waiting already ? they literally brought my food back and dumped ! no service ! I had to go bar to get drinks , the wrong food was brought for two of the party I made them take that as their error but i think now not ! But when i came to pay i said i have a voucher prepaid mitchells card the waitress came over and said its not working , i said this happened last time i was here and their is credit she literally slammed yes slammed her hand on table . in all my years ive never seen such appalling actions i called for manager he was being diplomatic i get it but the attitude of the member of staff was horrendous i will not be returning . Awful ? i will not return awful . The restaurant was empty ? and now we know why the poor service and extremely poor customer service

We visited the Harvester Boldmere 13/11/2023, would highly recommend, all staff were pleasant and extremely friendly. My partner ordered the Ribeye Steak, ask for medium rare and was cooked to perfection, complements to the chef Mia. Will be visiting again soon.
