Helpful staff who are on hand to help. However I took my car in for a wheel alignment check, they then did an alignment but I noticed after while driving on the motorway that the alignment itself is great, but the steering wheel is slightly off centre and points a bit to the right. Having researched, one of the first steps of an alignment is making sure the steering wheel is perfectly centered. I called back regarding this and they were happy to help and I brought it back in. I was told after that the alignment was great and was given a picture of the alignment figures, however the steering wheel is still off centre. I called back and was insisted the alignment is perfect and there's nothing wrong. After explaining that the alignment is great and I'm not complaining about the alignment itself, it's just that the steering wheel is off centre, I was reluctantly told to bring it back in. However, this being my first car and my pride and joy, I got the impression I was annoying the staff and was worried they might do something to the car, so I'll just go elsewhere.
As a side note, on the first paid for alignment, when I got the car back, the trip computer was reset (which isn't a big deal but I was tracking some fuel economy stats) and the language of the guage cluster screen was changed to Polish. It did take me a while to figure out how to change it back since everything was, of course, in a different language and I'd never changed the language before.
I understand the staff are probably under a lot of pressure and would like to emphasise that I was given good customer service until I started asking back about the alignment.
EDIT: I have since done an alignment elsewhere just over a month after all this and have attached a photo of the alignment diagnosis printout they gave me, diabolical.

the best service.. James on the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly... Very quick with my mot and didn't do anymore work then necessary... Highly recommend this garage

I had searched the Web for 4 new budget tyres and Halfords were the cheapest. I don't do many miles so budget tyres would be OK. The south parade branch is only a few minutes away for me, so having ordered and paid online, this branch disposed of my old tyres, replaced them including new valves and balancing. Overall, a very good deal all round ?

Despite receiving a mixed level of workmanship & customer service on previous occasions (1/5 for giving me my car back with no brakes: 3/5 for not having all 4 tyres in stock despite pre booking: 4/5 for not undertaking the MOT against planned timeline) my latest visit was a 100% success. Sure, it was only an MOT but something has improved as timeline was met & feedback was complete & unhurried despite the staff being busy.

I am extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service I received at Halfords. I brought my car in for a full service, expecting that all necessary tasks would be completed to ensure the proper functioning of my vehicle. However, upon further inspection by another garage, it was discovered that several key components were neglected during the service.
Firstly, the engine oil was not changed or even filled, leaving my car at risk of damage due to lack of lubrication. Additionally, the tires' pressure was not checked or adjusted, potentially putting me at risk of a flat tire or other safety hazards. Furthermore, the coolant/water with anti-freeze was not renewed or filled, which could lead to overheating or other serious issues with the engine.
I am extremely concerned that Halfords did not fulfill their responsibilities in providing a thorough and comprehensive service for my vehicle. I feel as though I have been deceived and taken advantage of, as the safety and functionality of my car were compromised by their negligence.
