Clean and short queues

The toilets here are shockingly disgusting. I went early on today (15/7/24) and the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There was urine on the floor, along with tissue paper that didn't make the toilet. It stunk like urine, too. A very unhygienic indicator of perhaps how they run things behind the counter. There were at least two people working at that time of day and they weren't always busy, or doing anything, so there was plenty of time to have cleaned the toilet, had they been bothered to...
If you're going to have only one unisex toilet, then care has to be taken to keep it spotless, which means checking it about every half an hour at the minimum. Women deserve better than to walk into and use such disgusting facilities. It's enough to put me off visiting here again.
As for the shop itself, they had some nice tables and chairs to sit on, but some of the softer seating areas have tables that are uncomfortably low and a few tables are very squished together...
The staff didn't rush themselves when customers came in and weren't full of smiles and cheer; which is a shame, as good customer service is important. Personally, I'd replace the two that were working this morning and recruit better people.
The drinks themselves were fine and as expected from Costa, but the food can be quite dry and tasteless at times.
A satisfactory shop, just avoid the loo.
Kid-friendliness: There are always kids in here and enough room to get a couple of pushchairs in. They have child-friendly drinks, too.

We only stopped here because we couldn?t find a decent independent coffee shop. Costa Coffee is good not great but what it has going for it is the seating area. I find that the cakes and food are very bland compared with other good independent shops, Costa needs to do better.

Coffee is nice but hot chocolate was one of the worst I had from a costa. Location is good and staff are friendly.

Went here today to meet with friends & have a catch up over coffee. Very busy & loud. Service was very good & all the staff had a smile on their face. Quite a few customers eating food from other places, which seemed very rude.
