I am 26 weeks pregnancy and was having headaches so went to boots to get my blood pressure checked. I was told they do not offer this service everyday and more than that, the staff were rude and unhelpful. Luckily I managed to ask the Gp practice next door who were very helpful. Not sure how pharmacists are meant to alleviate GPs burden when they don?t even offer self test blood pressure as many pharmacies do.

Dont bother with this place , wait days for your prescriptions to be ready - 30mins or more when you collect, staff are rude and lie about when prescriptions are recieved

if i could give 0 stars i would. worst pharmacy ive ever used. ive never been to collect a prescription and it be ready even if ive left it a week. tip of the iceberg this time; went in yesterday after work to collect after giving them 3 working days and was told they have the prescription but haven?t got any in stock so was told to come back today. it frustrated me as they?ve had time to order the medication. so i go back today only to be told they only have half of the prescription so i asked why they only ordered half to which she said she doesn?t know. i then asked when the other half will be ready and the woman told me to give it a week. i?m sorry but that is just ridiculous. i then waited 25 minutes for them to dispense the medication that she had in her hand at the till and when i went to ask where it was after waiting so long she went to the back and passed it to me straight away so waiting the 25 minutes was pointless. worst pharmacy ever.

Waited half an hour to collect a repeat prescription, when my turn came I was told I?d have to wait a further fifteen minutes whilst they got the prescription ready. The prescription had been approved over a week before. Only changed my pick up pharmacy to this Boots to save me a four mile drive to the pharmacy near to my GP. Quicker for me to drive the four miles to the other pharmacy.

Not enough staff,have to wait ages to get medication. Lack of pharmacies in the immediate area causing chaos.Contact nhs commisioners and complain.

Although a pleasant store and good range of products for a smaller branch, as others have commented - since Lloyd's in Sainsbury's closed the prescription service is frustrating to say the least! They need more staff to cope with the demand instead of having a queue of 8 or 9 people waiting to be served with only 1 or 2 at most at the counter and having to stand for 15 minutes or more to be served. Boots - get more staff to cope with the increased demand!
