It's just PureGym rolled in glitter. It has little bits that make it seem alright but you scratch the surface in your first month and see it's not in the slightest a premium product. Nobody treats it with respect, people leave stuff everywhere and don't unrack weight from bars, the gym staff are nonexistent and never say hello let alone see if anyone could do with a spot or make sure the free weights area is tidy. There's one squat rack so if two people want to squat or deadlift then good luck. They play adverts over the broken speakers which is so anti-luxury and just screams "budget gym". If you want to just do some cardio and be one of the combined 10 lucky people who can awkwardly fit in the sauna at one time it might work for you, but if you actually want to do free weights and 7 other people also want to then yeah...good luck with that. My contract can't end soon enough.

Booking a spa day at Bannatyne was straightforward, facilitated by a voucher. The venue and treatment rooms created a pleasant atmosphere, contributing to a positive experience. However, I'm withholding a full 5 stars due to a couple of reasons.Firstly, the extra charges were a bit of a letdown. The £10 deposit and £8 gown hire payment felt unnecessary and somewhat inconvenient. It would have been more enjoyable without these unexpected additional costs. Moreover, the spa day didn't turn out to be as serene as I hoped. The pool area was quite lively, with people being chatty, affecting the relaxation factor. Once my treatments were done, I opted to leave rather than return to the pool area. It?s also a bit expensive to park nearby in Brindley Place. I did get a discount but still £2.50 per hour meant I spent £10 on parking whilst there too

Absolutely disgusted with how I?ve been treated at bannatyne I?ve been overcharged on my monthly gym membership with bannatyne £100 that I do not owe and they have not decided to get to the bottom of it. no one has helped me with my complaint and it has been 3 days. They do not have any manners and patience when it comes to customers.

Very disappointing service!!!!!!Booked a full body Swedish massage for my mom and on getting there paid for a spa bag which I thought was ridiculous. Wondering why a spa won?t provide basic amenities to their clients is mind boggling. She was then assigned an inexperienced therapist who was not very accommodating to her needs while on the table. She was then led to a relaxation room which was cold and not relaxing at allSomething that was meant to be a very relaxing experience turned out to be a nightmare. We only chose this place due to proximity but it turned out to be a complete waste of money. Will not book again

Had a spa day as a gift. My friend and I had lovely day. We relaxed in a dimly lit room, had swim, used jacuzzi and sauna and steam rooms. Best of all three treatments back and scal massage and a facial. Not time restricted , easy to park. Only downside no cafe, although we could have ordered food in.

Just to clarify i intended to visit here for my mother's belated birthday present and i had a couple of questions as this would have been the first time for both of us attending a spa, the receptionist said she would get one of their other members of staff to call me back but were all in sessions at that time, but nearly a month later still no call.

? Disappointing ExperienceStrongly Advise Avoiding ?I am utterly disappointed with the service I've received from this Gym. I recently approached them to cancel my gym membership due to an impending move back to My home country which is not located in the Uk.Little did I know that this would lead to an absolute nightmare of communication breakdowns and poor decision-making.Firstly, the lack of understanding and empathy exhibited by the management is astonishing. Despite my clear explanation of the circumstances and my need for cancellation, they refused to budge from their rigid policy, insisting on evidence that is currently impossible for me to provide. The way they handled this situation is absurd - I was left dealing with a receptionist who acted as an intermediary for their baffling decision. Not only did this result in frustrating back-and-forth, but it also demonstrated their complete disregard for customer service and efficient communication.I'm writing this review as a warning to anyone considering joining Bannatyne gym. If you're looking for a gym that cares about its members, respects their situations, and understands the value of clear and direct communication, this is definitely not the place for you. This experience has not only caused me undue stress during an already challenging time but also cemented my decision to close my UK bank account, potentially impacting my credit score.I strongly urge everyone to steer clear of this gym and explore alternative options. A gym that cannot accommodate its members' reasonable requests and leaves them to navigate through a maze of poor communication is simply not worth your time or money.Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!!!

I paid £157 for treatments, when I arrived we were greeted to be told we have to pay for a towel. Now paying £157 for treatments you expect to be given a towel at least. Once in the spa area the girls proceeded to finish off their conversation before greeting us, told us they didn?t know where the changing rooms were and that the receptionist should have told them. When asked questions about towels their immediate reaction was to say that?s not our area and you need to ask reception. They were very unhelpful, did not care about our experience. I walked away feeling annoyed, deflated and will never return again. What a waste of money!

I had a full body Swedish massage, followed by a body scrub. My therapist, Evelyn was first class. I felt really comfortable with her, able to request my preferences and she kept me informed throughout the experience. Both treatments were excellent and I came away feeling lovely. Five stars for Evelyn. Thank you!Four stars for Bannatyne with two recommendations to improve spa ambience:1) Spa music volume too loud which was to overcome gym class noise/music;2) Add scented diffusers/candles in spa reception and spa treatment rooms so as not to feel gym/pool vibe.

First visit to the club today. First impressions - very good - pleasantly surprised. The duty manager whom greeted me was friendly and personable. She promptly issued my magnetic wrist band - no hassle and there was a choice of size, depending upon ones wrist size. This wristband worked well getting past the turnstiles and you use the same band to operate the lockers - there is also a handy device just inside the changing room where you can tap your band to be reminded which locker your stuff is in. I only used the wet area today - two saunas, two steam, two Jacuzzis and the pool which also has a 'cold tub' section with seats and bubbles. I paid extra for towel hire (£20 more per month) and a clean towel was provided as expected, upon my request. I viewed the three studios (two general purpose and one spin with virtual spin installed also) - gym area and studios appeared well equipped and clean. The showers you can adjust the temperature which I like and there is a handy shelf inside the door of each shower with a partition so you can hang your towel and place your belongings without them getting wet in the shower. Shower gel available in the showers and hand-wash in the toilets. The whole facility seemed very clean and I observed a staff member checking temperatures and chlorine levels of pool appliances. I also saw someone hoovering the gym area. Yes the actual building is a bit dated, but I actually sort of like it - not quite so clinical as other newer gyms. Cleaning materials seemed available throughout. One star deducted because:1) Temperature of 'hot tubs' rather low.2) Temperature of steam rooms a little low.(reading a previous review, it would seem the temperatures were reduced to save money on energy - I understand this, but it is an expensive gym, so I wouldn't expect such sacrifices to be being made - if really necessary, I'd rather pay a few pounds more per month and them operate at the right temperature, seeing as I'm already paying over £90 because of only selecting a 3 month term and due to adding towel hire). Saunas were plenty hot enough though - they could maybe get away with turning the sauna down a few degrees and the steam up.3) There is a swimwear dryer but no wet kit bags provided - I do support the reduction of single-use plastics, but I feel bags to put wet kit in is justifiable (the dryer is a spin dryer not a tumble dryer!). Naturally I can't even wrap it in a towel, unless they want me to take a towel each visit - obviously not. Basically either I provide the bag or they do - for the money charged, I'd rather they provide it!4) I'd like a one month commitment option and an option for multi-club on the three month commitment option (or 1 month if they offered it).5) I'd like to receive one or two free guest passes monthly - appreciate this could compromise the usability of facilities for members, but other similar gyms offer it. I appreciate I can take a guest for £15 though - about a similar cost as day passes at similar gyms - obviously I'd rather it were £10 or less though! That said, if giving out free passes means I can't use anything due to too many guests, obviously I would rather it not be offered. The reviews were mixed and I was hesitant about joining, so I thought I would try and provide a balanced review for other perspective members.Overall so far so good, but will update if they do anything to upset me - hopefully not!
