Such lovely staff in here, and there's always bargains to be found. Got 6 packs of gift tissue paper and labels for only 37p per pack, and also page tab post it notes for 50p!

I've been coming to this place since the 1980s when I was little. It's always been my favourite shop in Stourbridge. When I was old enough, I started taking the train from Hagley especially so I could go to Smith's. I used to enjoy browsing their selection of videos, DVDs and CDs and I was sad when they stopped selling them. But I still enjoy browsing their selection of books especially their sci-fi and fantasy section and travel books. They also have a good selection of magazines that I can't normally find anywhere else and I buy from occasionally. Since 2004 I have been coming at least once a month as it gives me something to look forward to and has helped me get through difficult times. I have always felt safe and the staff have always been very friendly. Unfortunately, I haven't been since Valentine's Day 2020 and I am currently unable to go as I am temporarily staying somewhere that is too far away. But when I return home to Hagley I am looking forward to resuming my monthly visits. I hope it never closes, I would no longer have a reason to go to Stourbridge and I wouldn't have anything to look forward to. I can't put into words how important it is that it stays open.
