My wife and l were treated to a meal there two weeks ago, food was average but l felt restaurant prices for pub food. My host purchased a bottle of squealing pig Sauvignon blanc which is a regular wine that l buy. When we left the restaurant my host commented that the wine cost £35 for one bottle, l could not believe my ears and checked the bill which was correct. I buy that wine from Asda for £7 a bottle and that same week l had purchased a number of bottles at 25% off in their deal. How do you mark up a wine which costs just over a fiver at £35, total rip off and greed by the owners.

Was worried to start with about the meal on Sunday as I have allergies and couldn't really get any information about the food I could eat. In fact I nearly didn't attend the family meal.
But I'm so glad I did. The service was fantastic and when I asked what I could possibly have to eat the server went and asked the chef and several dishes were offered for me.
I can't thank you enough for such a beautiful meal, one of the best I've had out for a long time.
Thank you so much for the help you gave me on the day and great service.
Will definitely be back.

An impromptu Saturday lunch at this village Inn. Not been before and not mentioned by anyone we know. A nice welcome and I believe we were fortunate to be a little early as we had not booked but got a nice table. The restaurant filled quickly. Nice one page menu which is reassuring that everything is freshly produced. Smoked salmon starter for me, simple and delicious with tasty accompaniments. Rump steak with all the trimmings for mains, quality cut and nicely cooked and presented. Nice selection of beers and cider.

I went here for a meal with my wife and son, the food we had was amazing, when I got my meal I asked a member of staff why they gave me a knife, the beef I had was so soft it fell apart and was so tasty, it's a pity I live in Devon 200 miles away.Food & drinks: I had a pint of Envile real ale wonderful taste.

Lovely country pub in a lovely setting. Always really good food and great service. Highly recommended this place but make sure you book a table as they are very popular.
