Had an issue with my car at another garage, brought it into Halfords for a diagnostic and they were brilliant. Found the cause of the issue and got it resolved allowing me to pass my MOT.
Ben in particular was very helpful and friendly, showing a commitment to customer care that will keep me coming back to Halfords!

Used National Car centre/ Halfords auto centre Stourbridge. Lewis manager was extremely helpful. Sorted out a problem with my brakes same day! Very quick and reasonable.

As a car enthusiast who know cars inside out, this would be my advise to all the brethren, Stay away from this branch.
Booked in at 11:30 for diagnostics (I had literally given them what needed to be done)
Car was not even touched till 5:30 in the evening.
Called me that time about needed to be rolled over to the next day.
Ok, i agreed, ?But please fix the issue quickly as i needed to go somewhere far?.
Informed them again of the issues with the car and the things needed to be done.
Next morning, called them, was told FAN was the issue and it would need 800 pounds to replace it.
It made me literally laugh and cry at the same time.
I have checked the fan myself with the multimeter and power source and it was totally fine.
Told them about the REAL ISSUE, apologised and went to DORMANT mode again.
Whole day passed, no diagnostics, no updates, nothing at all.
Booked at the original dealership for the next day and going to get my car from this service and would update this comment about their FUNNY and MISERABLE things that they want to do despite me SHOWING them what the real problem was.
Unprofessional and Miserable.
Not Recommended at ALL.
Would be making a complaint to Halfords.

Came here the 31st may as I had a knocking noise. Got told it was my suspension. Booked in to be fixed came at 8.00am by 5.30pm they had only fitted the suspension not done the tracking. Paid over 300 pounds for this service. Returned to have tracking for them to find another issue with tracking which was another 300 pound bill. The noise has since continued so been for a 2nd opinion at another garage. They have found the issue being the top suspension when halfords had fixed the bottom. I've been told halfords should have definitely been found when checking. Will definitely not return to halfords again! I made a complaint to head office and was offered a 30 pounds refund which is disgusting after I've been driving an unsafe car for a month as halfords told me it was safe ???

My initial journey started with the purchase of a car battery at the Oldbury store, which started the experience with exceptional customer service and the introduction to the Motoring club.
I had the next meeting with Halfords for my MOT, which is part of said club. The Stourbridge garage was exceptionally professional from the start, with the manager Ben being an absolute credit to the business. For everything that was done by the staff at Stourbridge garage, there is sadly a downside, which lets the whole operation down through no fault of the staff at the garage. The inability to complete an MOT on a diesel vehicles, due to the emissions tester being non operational, my appointment had to be rescheduled on two occasions, with it being completed on the third. As I say Ben, the centre manager, was polite and empathetic with his calls to rearrange the appointments, however, I would have appreciated it if the more senior management had taken a more proactive approach and ensured a more timely replacement for the equipment. As I am sure you are fully aware many motorists take the due diligence to book ahead of the expiry date for the MOT, however, the final completion for my vehicle was actually on the date the MOT lapsed. As I say the staff at the garage were exceptional, you need to ensure that you support that with the equipment to do so. Yours sincerely Matthew Snell.

Car taken to Halfords at Camp Hill by AA due to issue with brakes. Brake issue thoroughly checked and issue identified, and then fixed. Staff friendly, helpful and took the time to detail the issue in a way I could understand. Booked back in for further repair work (separate issue). Thank you.

Very disappointed with the service from Halfords Autocentre Stourbridge. I have been to them before for a service but won't be going again. I had a major service on my son's car. When he left the garage the engine management light came on. We returned the next day and was told it was the camshaft position centre and that it can happen after a major service. They reset it and said get back in touch if it came back on. It did. I contacted them again and was told it was nothing to do with the service and they made out like it was a coincidence. They said they would ring me back later. I rang at the end of the day as no one had called me. They said they would fix it but that would cost £125. I asked to speak with a manager who said the issue was nothing to do with the service and that I would have to pay and offered a reduced charge. I said that I was not prepared to pay for an issue I have due to work they carried out. They also try to upsell on loads of expensive and unnecessary items. They put a suggested Cambelt replacement price on my receipt and the car doesn't even have one. Save yourselves the trouble, Halfords have no after sales service. As soon as they have your money, they lose interest in helping you unless you pay for something else that isn't your fault. Avoid!
