Good beer, attentive service but just better than average food. I’ll explain. The previous night we ate at an expensive pub a few miles down the canal. I felt it under-delivered the pub vibe and over-delivered slightly poncy food at what we felt were expensive prices. At the Wharf Tavern we got decent food in a nice pub... read full comment

Food (,steak sandwhich) was hest I've ever had, beer very good and the staff smiling and helpful. With sky tv for the sports and a kids bouncy castle I hope the locals realise what they've got !!
