I?m a bit of a charity shop connoisseur and can honestly say that The Children?s Society in Shirley is quite possibly the best around. Staff are really helpful and the range of products, some pre owned and some brand new is very broad indeed. They sell everything from furniture to clothing and It?s proved to be a treasure trove time after time. Get yourself down there and you won?t be disappointed.

I have been visiting the charity shop recently and I was nicely surprised by how the shop is managed. The goods are nicely presented and shop staff was very nice, helpful and professional. Very good customer service. Strongly recommended.

I visited the shop a few days ago, the shop was beautifully presented and tidy. The staff were so friendly and polite and helped me find some books for my little one. The prices are amazing, one of the best charity shops in the area!

My recent visit to a local charity shop, accompanied by my sister and mom, was marred by an unfortunate incident of racial profiling. Despite being there to support a good cause, we felt singled out based on our ethnicity. The staff?s behavior was both disheartening and disrespectful, as they treated us differently than other customers. Such an experience not only tarnishes the reputation of the charity shop but also raises concerns about inclusivity and fairness in their operations. It is crucial for businesses, especially those associated with charitable endeavors, to actively promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. I hope the management takes steps to address these issues, fostering a welcoming environment for all customers, regardless of their background. I am the other sister who was their when the incident took place.

Just went here with my mom and sister as soon as I went in the shop the ladies had suspicion on their faces and then proceeded to watch me and my sibling keep in mind I was barley in the shop for no more than 20 seconds. I?m absolutely horrified at the service these two ladies have provided. Being followed around 20 seconds in, has made me feel upset and I?m never going back inside. Shopped at 2.59 I will also like to mention one of the ladies looked inside my asda bag as I was leaving the store which made me even more uncomfortable. And the other lady kept looking at my sister

Came from Solihull to donate. Unfortunately the shop was not taking donations that day. ?When I explained we only had 3 ordaments was told ok we'll take them. Not ask to gift aid. I will take my bag of books to another charity. Any other charity shop.

Talk about overpriced. All items they receive are gifted and yet they try to sell items at retail price or nearest to that. I visit this shop regularly just to see if prices change but they never do. The items in the cabinet and behind the counter are an example of what I'm talking about when I mentioned the prices. Remember, items are gifted/free don't spoil the charity Shop vibeThey're researching items on EBAY and going with them prices, if something if worth £20 why not sell it for £10? You're still making a profit because you get items for free.

Great shop. You can find high value items for a very reasonable prices.No problems with refunds, very helpful staff.Samantha is very helpful with all the computer stuff.My wife visits the shop regularly and always leaves with plenty of clothes :)
