I recently visited Specsavers Opticians and, honestly, I left feeling pretty disappointed with the overall experience. While the staff themselves were very pleasant and the optician I saw was good, the store itself really let it down.
From the moment I walked in, the place didn?t feel clean. There were spider webs dotted around the store, which immediately gave the impression that it hadn?t been properly looked after. The seating area is small, cramped, and placed right next to the counter. This means you end up sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with other customers, and you can hear people giving out personal details to the staff with no sense of privacy. I had uploaded my details in advance, but the staff member still read them out loud, which made me really uncomfortable.
When it came to the eye test, the machine I was asked to use looked old and not very clean in fact, I had to wipe it down myself before putting my chin on it. That?s not the kind of thing you expect from a professional opticians.
I also noticed that most of the glasses on display had smudges and marks on them, which completely put me off from wanting to try any on, let alone buy a pair. For a place that?s supposed to be all about vision and presentation, the lack of care in keeping things clean was really disappointing.
It?s a shame, because the staff themselves were polite and friendly, but the environment just felt uncomfortable and unpleasant overall. Specsavers really need to rethink the layout of this branch, improve cleanliness, and ensure customer privacy is respected. Until then, I wouldn?t be keen to return.

We came to get eye glasses replacement for my daughter. The lady at the reception was really nice and helped us. But we had to wait at least 10/15 minutes because all optometrist went for lunch break around the same time.
I had a 2 year old with me and it was really inconvenient.

Glasses are nice and good quality. Big disappointed with the glass case though. I chose Levi Varifocal designer glasses spending £325. They were not able to provide a Levi case, offering me a choice of other glass cases to choose from. The guy who dealt with was quite dismissive, saying they are in demand. Not offering me any follow up to let me know when they get a fresh supply in, stating that I should pop into the shop in the next week or so. I went into the shop yesterday. They did not have any Levi cases. However, at least the receptionist took down my details and said that they would give me a call when they get a supply.
So, glasses are fine but the finishing touch was poor. A bit of a let down.

I?ve always had a pleasant experience at this branch. Most recently, I was seen by Kash who was very polite, thorough and professional. Today, I suffered with an optical migraine and called Specsavers. Kash spoke to me over the phone, reassured me and gave me advice. He then asked me to call back to let him know I am okay, which he really didn?t need to do. I definitely recommend

I was severely disappointed with my eye test.
After my eye test I was told to stand infront of the glasses in the shop and just left there for nearly half an hour. I would never use this service again.
Abysmal springs to mind. Or just money grabbing.
