Absolute rip-off.Avoid at all costs. If I could leave zero stars, I would.Owner of the garage Steve charged me 3 hours to do a job that multiple other garages have told me would take 1 hour at most. His hourly rate is £120 + VAT an hour and good luck in getting an estimated cost for approval once the car has been diagnosed.When I questioned the invoice where I was also charged 3x the parts price, he got physically aggressive and asked me to leave his premises stating that unless I paid this totally unreasonable amount I wouldn?t get the car back.Report has been made to Trading Standards. Do not go here for repairs!!!

Extortionately expensive! As previous reviewers have said this garage charges an hourly labour rate of £120 which is the same as some main dealer rates. Do not get any work done here without first getting a quote.After picking up my car I took my invoice (see attached) to Dorridge Autos for a price comparison and they confirmed that they would have charged me £400 less for the same work.Do not make the same mistake I made. Get a quote beforehand or better still go elsewhere.

Great service and Steve & co. were very friendly. Resolved extensive issues quickly, the price quoted was the price paid and communication was good throughout.

Absolutely brilliant experience this week at Lapworth Garage.I had the unfortunate luck of puncturing my tyre about 300 meters away from the garage at 6.30pm on Tuesday evening. Thankfully, I managed to pull over right outside and they were still open.Not only did they let me take my car in there and then, they also hang around and let me wait inside with them until my mom and dad were able to pick me up to take me home!Fast forward to lunchtime the next day, the car was sorted, a new tyre was on, and it was ready to collect!Would highly recommend to anyone in need of car help as they were so friendly and will most certainly be using them again in the future if needed!

Steve is an absolute legend! He came to my rescue this morning and fitted me in for an MOT very last minute and it was a Saturday! Such a lovely guy, really friendly and really went out of his way for me. He restored my faith in humankind, thank you so much x

Excellent service, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and as a woman on her own felt totally at ease, not patronised and most importantly did not feel as though I was having the wool pulled over my eyes.Highly recommend.

I managed to get a flat tyre a long way from home and had to pull in suddenly. How fortunate I was to pull into the parking by Lapworth Garage. Stephen was very kind and arranged a replacement tyre at short notice . Very swift, efficient and professional service. Highly recommend.

Buying a car from Lapworth Garage has been a fantastic experience. Stephen has been helpful, honest and supportive. He sold at a very fair price, offering for me to check out any part of the vehicle, even putting it up on the ramp. And he MOT's and prepared the car very well ready for me to pick up two days later. He also offered to support the car with anything more that needed doing. I bought it back a week later as it was running a bit roughly, he traced the fault ordered the parts and now it runs brilliantly - and with no charge! He even picked me up from the station. Could not recommend highly enough

Extortion!!!! Be very, very aware!!!! This garage charges £120 an hour labour and oil is charged at £20 ltr. Our 15 year old car cost £680 for a service. To put that into comparison I got a quote from Sytner to compare and it was £319

If you're going to get any work done here, I'd highly recommend getting a quote beforehand as it's the most expensive independent garage I've ever come across, their hourly labour rate rivals some official dealerships in the area. My partner had a service and MOT here on her 14 year old car and it was nearly £500 - no extra work done, just the standard service parts. Compare that to last year's service & MOT for £140 at a garage about 5 miles from this one. When she picked up her car, the owner told her he conveniently forgot to mention that they use premium oil, which set her back £80 for a few litres. We called the owner and he was polite and approachable about it, but we still feel ripped off and won't be coming here again.
