I came here to get a secondhand iPhone, but they were overpriced, or there was little price difference between used and brand-new ones. And some of the iPhones that CEX was selling were obsolete.

The manager talks behind your back and tell his staffs about the customer I bought a game i return it but wasn't happy then he started talking to his staff about the customer when the customer is inside the shop very bad customer service the manager is very bad

Friendly staff great range of dvds bought my psvr2 there great condition packed with care and lots information from the staff on care and maintenance highly recommended the store.

You feel like you?re being ripped off. As they are paying next to nothing ridiculous prices. Then selling for more than the amount they gave you much more. People are desperate so selling I guess. When you go in it?s like the staff have this attitude they are doing you a favour by buying your stuff and handing you cash if they buy it. But no they are actually benefiting there own pockets. If it was not for the people selling to CEX the business would collapse. I feel ripped off, if you value your money don?t sell here.

If I could give zero stars I would. Don't waste your time with this company. I've tried to sell things a couple of times through CeX and it's a con. They look for the smallest reason not to give you the money for your goods, even if they are in working condition. The customer service is shocking too. I will never be selling or buying anything from here again and I'll make sure my friends and family don't either. Avoid!!!

Went in for a simple game trade in for a bank transfer, greeted by a curly dark haired guy who seemed nice at first. He opened with "are you sure you don't want cash?". I used to work at the Chelmsley Wood branch of Cex so I can appreciate a transfer isn't as simple as cash in hand, so understood why he asked this. I politely said no thanks, transfer would be ideal, stressing I would really rather not cash, we had a lighthearted back and forth, then he pulled out the cash and asked me to sign as normal. To which I asked "can I actually have a transfer though", with him responding "it's already done, it's a lot of extra work for just one game".
Even despite me previously saying I'd worked for the company, so knowing full well I know both exactly how much more effort it is, and that it's entirely possible, he was determined to dodge the extra work and do the exact opposite of what I asked.
I've been in the store a few times and I know this isn't representative of the whole team, but I can't deny this person came off as ignorant and lazy.

I recently visited the CEX Solihull store and had a shockingly bad experience, primarily due to the store manager, Martin. He was confrontational, rude, and completely unwilling to help. It's astonishing how little he seemed to care about customer service or even performing his job properly.
When I sought assistance with an issue regarding a purchase, Martin couldn't even be bothered to give me the time of day. His dismissive attitude made it clear that he had no interest in supporting customers or addressing their concerns. Despite remaining calm in the face of his provoking behavior, it was incredibly frustrating to deal with someone so disoriented in a customer-facing role.
To anyone considering visiting this store or working in a similar environment, please remember the importance of empathy and understanding when dealing with customers. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I have no confidence in the way Martin is managing or training his staff. I will be avoiding this store in the future and would advise others to do the same.
