I was referred by my GP to Boots farmacy for a check up on Thursday 14 November 2024. I went before 9am, had to wait untill 9.15 as there was no farmacist on duty. When he finally came, seemed very lost...I believe he was a agency supply for the day otherwise is inexplicable. Took me to the " consultation room" asked what was wrong, I said that I have throat infection and I need antibiotics..he did not believe me, did not even look at my throat, said he can't give me antibiotics only other medication and that I should wait for two weeks maybe it goes away! Also, asked me if I have a picture of my throat, while he was there in front of me!! I believe he didn't have any tools to actually carry out a check up! How on Earth is this happening?! Anyway, very disappointed. In the end I went to another doctor and I'm on antibiotics for 10 days as my throat is really badly infected!
Apart of the lack of service, the actual shop is nice and has lots of products.

Not a helpful pharmacy, served by a young lad with a ear piece, when I was trying to purchase a over the counter product (which was visible to the consumer) I was told I would have to speak to my doctor but while we go through a time when it is very difficult to see a doctor, I would of expected some realistic advice as I was in agony. I can only put this down to inexperience on his part but this needs to be highlighted I'm afraid.. I ended up visiting another boots and purchased the same product (which was visible to the consumer) without hassle.

Politely asked for help as I couldn?t find what I was looking for. The response I received from a female staff member was less than satisfactory. Basically I?m busy don?t bother me. She could?ve said ?I will be with you shortly?. She was abrupt and her customer service skills poor. I put back my items and walked out. I will spend my £££ elsewhere.

Poor stock levels - and the pharmacy is particularly bad. Few staff and those there are actively avoid customers. 4 day wait to get a click and collect. Very poor. Feels like a store about to close.

Some of the beauticians are super friendly and helpful! However, I have heard inappropriate conversations for a workplace environment from other staff members regarding politics and race. Not pleased.

Terrible customer service by Tanj. She was very cheeky and rude. Please retain her on customer service.

Came in for some Covid test kits, couldn't find them so I asked the lady at the medicine/prescription desk, she kindly showed me the pack of 2 ones but she then went above and beyond with her excellent customer service by taking her time out for me to go check if there was any packs of 5 down by the front, she told me to wait where I was and she came back to me to explain that there was none left but she did make me feel cared for so thank you to this lady at this boots store. All the other staff throughout this store smiled at me and the atmosphere in this store is always nice. Great Boots store. Thank You :-)

The pharmacy staff rarely answer the telephone. I attempted on 6 separate occasions yesterday, and 5 times today. Still the phone remains unanswered. Absolutely appalling.

Pharmacy was efficient

On January 20th, I tried to get a repeat press for my partner - the GP had not provided this but I was advised by a member of pharmacy staff to call 111 for an emergency prescription. This was dealt with very quickly and efficiently by the the very friendly Boots staff. When it became apparent two weeks later that there was a further problem caused by the GO, once again, Boots staff were amazing. There were two young gentlemen and a female pharmacist on both occasions who were a pleasure to deal with and showed the utmost respect to all the people they served whilst I was waiting. Excellent team of people who Boots should be very proud to employ!
