went to Barnardos and found the staff very carinng and nice and welcoming. The items were priced up very good. They had a book on dog training that is hard to get an i got for a fraction of the price id pay new. Massive selection of items available would recommend this charity shop.

Rude staff! I was looking at the books and put a few on top of my trolley. The woman came over saying 'oh what books have you got' began riffling through the books I had on my trolley not even asking if she could. She grabbed two saying these don't have prices and walked off with them saying I will get a price.I suffer with social anxiety so I'm not sure I even said words at this point.I went to the counter with the one book she had left me with awaiting the other two books. The lady behind the counter said 'shes gone to price them up online'. I thought this very odd for just a regular shop, a bookshop i could perhaps understand more. We awkwardly stood there for about 5 minutes before she finally arrived saying they are £15 . . . EACH!!!I said good luck I will just have that one, to which she replied rather snooty 'we will get that price'. The whole experience was just quite rude from start to finish.I did even quickly look one of the books up myself when I got home and there's one on ebay for £6??? So did she look on Waterstones or something for that price? This is a charity shop . . . right??? And what happened to happy staff??? I won't go in there again. Even the oxfam BOOKSHOP round the corner is more reasonably priced and lovely staff.

Great store welcomed in soon as I walk in the store, laid out nicely sections and sizes and asking prices are fair, the one star reviews are all lies in my opinion as I've visited the store on more than one occasion with different staff in each time but the same welcoming each time ??

I went there over 2 weeks ago with my 2 young children 7 and 4. As normal children, they like touched things what they see and there was this one lady came across Rude when she told them not touch things coz if it's broken they will need to pay! I did told my children to stop touching and they did, then I continue looking around the store and decided to buy, soon after I paid, my children play under the clothes rail that has few items on the top. Yes I can understand she was probably meant well by telling them not to play under it But the way she was telling them was really not a person who should be represent Barnardos that are Representing or support Children's Charity! I bought few things from them that day, asked for refund and told them I will Never step into that store ever again. Thank you but no thanks.

I entered the shop early on Saturday Morning to have a look around as it appeared to be a new store. I spent 15 minutes wandering around and despite there being 4 members of staff not one person said hello or acknowledged me to see if I needed any help. I'm my opinion the store wasn't laid out very well and there seemed a lot of empty shelves and gaps...not the experience I normally receive with I visit Charity Shops to hunt for bargains.
