Normally no complaints whatsoever at the Woodman. But last night in our first evening out with friends after my husband had a stroke in May - very disappointed with our food. The 1st meal arrived. At least 15 minutes before the other 3 came. My Seabass with prawns. Was very dried up and my husbands Fishermans catch was very overdone. Certainly not worth the money - would normally complain at the time but my husband was very tired and didn?t want any fuss. Sorry Woodman but I am sure we will be back .

Shocking!!!
I asked to order some food at 20:40 and they said the kitchen is closed, this is false advertisement as it says online they serve until 22:00, I would understand if it was 21:55 but almost an hour and a half earlier is a complete disgrace

Always a nice visit at the Woodmans. Friendly staff especially Ruby and Keeley. Ember Inns app is also very good for occasional deals, money off and rewards card. Food is always good and reasonably priced.

I come in at least once a week with service users and the service is always amazing. The staff, especially Kelly treat us kindly and cater to our needs every time. Definitely worth a visit

A great pub with lovely food that is good value. Warm up by one of 3 lovely fires and enjoy rewards with the Ember Inns app and the ease of ordering from your table. I advise booking as it gets busy. Lobley atmosphere and staff willing to serve and good at clearing and cleaning tables

UPDATE:
Four of us went tonight for drinks and a meal. We were served by Tom who was so polite, attentive and thoughtful throughout. Our plates were removed as soon as we finished, excellent service and so polite. Such an asset to the pub. Food was amazing as well.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and nice pub. The food the last 2-3 times we have been has been fantastic, ?? it keeps going. The staff are lovely. There was an ABBA tribute which was amazing and the staff worked so hard as the glasses and plates were taken away and you could always get a drink. A very well organised evening ??
