Well done to Shindy for her patience in serving me, at a till that kept returning the prices incorrectly. You would think that it could calculate 'Buy 1 at full price, get the second at 1/2 price'.
I know basic maths - it hasn't changed from when I was at school, and it proves that to have calculated the total in your head (or by other means) - BEFORE you get to the till, is a sensible thing to do.
Not so well-done to Tara on the adjacent till, who kept interrupting with 'You just have to pay the price that it says on the till'. Well, no actually, you don't. You can rely on the technology if you want to, but it is a human thing to question something if it doesn't seem right.
Well done to the boss as well, who Shindy called over. No name badge but she pragmatically decided to over-ride the till with a 'fix' that wasn't quite right, but good enough.
Sorry to the queue that built up - not my fault tbh.

Awful service.
Went in today, spent £30 on kidswear and they have a deal where if you spend £20 or more you get a teddy.
I paid for my goods, asked about the teddy and was advised need to refund it and pay again as I paid via self serve, I had my receipt and the manager advised cannot give the teddy any other way)
I am unsure as to why the teddy couldn't be handed over?
The manager was unhelpful and had a cannot be bothered attitude.
This is false advisertising and I will be reporting to trading standards and escalating this complaint.
