I went in to return a faulty laptop I?d bought less than 30 days ago. I expected it to be a simple refund, but it turned into a complete mess. The first time I went, they told me it had to be collected from my house. So I called Argos, and they said I needed proof from ASUS saying it couldn?t be repaired. After going through all that and getting the confirmation from ASUS, I went back to the store ? and they still refused to refund me.
They told me I needed a manager present (which isn?t true under UK law), and even when I asked for the assistant manager, they refused. I even have the conversation recorded because I genuinely couldn?t believe how unprofessional it was.
Even ASUS told me I never should?ve had to get proof ? Argos should?ve refunded it right away. I?ve been messed around, given wrong information multiple times, and denied my legal right to a refund.
Really disappointing experience. Would not recommend this store to anyone

welcome to the couldnt care less club , went into argos . nobody serving at all on the front counter. saw a sign saying collections , so waited for 5 mins as id ordered on line and came to collect . a girl called mandy came out , totally ignored me and walked past me as if i wasnt there and went to serve a customer who had arrived after me . as she walked past me again i said that i was here before the previouse person . her reply wasto ask what i had ordered ......no sorry or apology, i showed her my ref number and she said i was at the wrong collection area. i said well it says collections here and that i wouldnt be shopping at argos again due to being ignored . her reply was FINE , THATS OK , i walked to the other collection point , where after giving her my ref number., i asked her to cancell and refund my card. will i ever shop at argos again ???? you bet your life i wont. being ignored and rudeness are my pet hates , i can spend my money anywhere

Do not send packages to these crooks
Royalmail dropped the package here (I have the picture as proof) and they say it's nowhere to be found. Didn't give it to the recipient, didn't send it back to sender. It just vanished. They are stealing packages

Very bad experience with oldbury argos , specially manager had no manners she is very rude . She don?t no how to deal customers , i recommend don?t buy anything from Argos , if you want buy anything so buy anywhere but don?t buy from Argos , i first time bought something but i had bad experience , manager very rude

Brought a ps4 portable same day returned as already had same gift all in origional condition in same package, the staff refused to refund yet I managed to refund it at another Argos, their refused stating the seal was broke whereas it was unnoticeable an is able to resale the inner box was still I contact, at another Argos they kindly did a refund. Regardless of seal breaking that's hardly visible should not be a problem in returning. Real disappointment with the service!! Regardless what replies the Argos comes up with its poor service, they can state the policy reasons an so on but we all know it could of been returned! Can't thank the other Argos enough, plus there service was just great! Improve your service that's all I can say.

I completely disagree that they are placing all the argos stores in sainsburys supermarkets. They offer you no help to your car with the items u purchase.
I had to struggle with my child in a pram and carry a rather heavy item to my car!

Placed an order for 3 times via the app.
Sent my 16 year old son, staff stated they couldn't sell him cutlery set,because it had knives in it. Fair enough. So he said he wanted a refund on cutlery said and he'll just take the other items. At first they stated its all a separate order and after alot of arguments and attitude from the staff, it was proved it was all one order,and that it was in fact one of their computers at fault. There was no apology. They then said they would have to cancel all the order, as they couldn't refund one thing, and then it would take 5-7 working days( so nearly 2 weeks) for me to get my refund. So for me to buy the things I want elsewhere I have got to wait for nearly 2 weeks, all so Argos can make interest on my money.
I will not be shopping at Argos ever again. App deleted.
