What you need in a hotel. Large breakfast option had variety and was nice. Friendly and helpful staff. The wifi was weak and wanted you to pay for an upgrade.
Nearby activities: There's the convention center, a 30 min walk to a mall, and train connections nearby for better adventure. This place is best if you're here for a convention.

The worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed in, lots of noise, particularly from the room above and the pillows are so flat you might as well not bother. Parking is expensive, with no discount offered for hotel guests. Room was very clean and service from the staff was excellent, the only saving grace

Stayed here recently whilst attending a course at the NEC. Lovely comfortable beds, and a nice quiet hotel so we got a good night's sleep. Plus great food and friendly service, the staff were particularly accommodating to my wife's food allergies. We really liked the waterfall shower and ample hot water in the bathroom, no matter what the time of day it was. The temperature of the room is easily controlled and the WiFi speed was good too. Parking prices at the hotel are a little steep, and it would be nice not to have automated check in but that's the only negatives.

They get the basics right, which puts it above a Travelodge, but this Premier Inn is not one of their better ones.
Firstly, as work schedules change, I had an original booking on the Friday and found out later I needed to be there the night before, but you cannot extend the booking online and have to do a separate booking.
Despite wasting numerous pounds and minutes on the phone to their call centre, no one ever picks up direct at the hotel, I tried for 5 days.
Having been dreadfully let down by Premier Inn before, I know from experience if you arrive very late or early hours in the morning, your room may be given away and so you have to let them know. This also took about 4 days of effort to get through to an American agent who can then email the hotel you are staying to please don't give out the room I have already paid for.
Ok, that said, glad it is sorted. The hotel is being renovated with a new restaurant which won't be open when I am staying. They offer free coffee and pastries as compensation. The coffee was awful, but pastries were quite ok!
I was however very disappointed that this also meant that even though the bar is stocked, the fridges are full, they won't sell a bottle of beer after a hard long day. The reason was given that the bar is the same as the restaurant.
But the fridges are there, why can't you sell a bottle and I take it to my room?
Non compliance, don't you just love it when they tell you no to a reasonable request?
Over priced rooms, with over priced parking (due to airport probably, £13 for a night), a good 25 mins walk to the NEC, rooms are tired, bit of mould in the bathroom, shower head leaking which means it has pitiful pressure (yes I did make them aware).
All this bit their saving light was the Nightman, who was a delight and did what he could to ensure my two different bookings meant I didn't have to change rooms.

They never clean the room, after 3 nights I either went to ask and they said it has to be asked every day, or I asked 2 times and they didn't clean it even a day, no towels or anything not at all and will never come back again, a disaster!

Did a park and stay and even though the bar/dining room was undergoing refurbishment we easily got an Uber and popped over to Resorts World.
Rooms are super comfy and nice and quiet too, which is great when you have an early start.
Staff were very helpful and polite.
Great way to start the holiday and we will be repeating this when we go next time

Standard Premier Inn with a restaurant. You have to pay for parking

HGV 's unloading outside the bedroom window at 10pm, completely unacceptable. Nevermind the bar/restaurant being closed.

The hotel is undergoing renovation so no restaurant, we were aware of this because Premier Inn emailed us. But as there is zero provision nearby for food another Hotel this time would have been better. However it is handy for Birmingham airport and you can pre. Ooo long term parking at the Hotel with Horizon.
