Room quality was far better than the Hilton across the lake, and a lot cheaper! Having breakfast in bed was nice.
However, the air con wasn't working. The night staff tried to fix it and gave me a large fan to use but it made for an uncomfortable evening.
The chap on reception was completely miserable and has put me off returning. He didn't smile, didnt give me any information and was very short with me when I had a question. The lass on the other desk was much nicer though.
I'd paid for dinner and checked those with the lass on reception. However, the restaurant staff told me I'd only paid for breakfast and had checked this with reception (im assuming it was the miserable one). The waitress was lovely and quite embarrassed so I asked to speak to her manager as it wasn't her fault at all. I showed him my prepaid email confirming it and it was all sorted. The restaurant staff were all lovely and very attentive.

We had a convention to attend so the location was perfect. The staff were the best about our trip. So friendly and sweet. The hotel should be very proud of their team. The front desk and then Nikki and the restaurant team were delightful. We will definitely come again.

i?ve never felt compelled to leave a hotel review, until now! this was my first time staying at the Crowne Plaza, and all I can say is.. WOW
I stayed for three nights with my boyfriend while attending a business event, and I honestly couldn?t recommend it enough
every single member of staff was warm, accommodating, and genuinely respectful. I especially want to mention my lovely experience with Pragya - she was incredibly welcoming and went out of her way to be helpful
the rooms were beautifully presented, the food was exceptional, and the chefs were fantastic. from start to finish, every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. next time i?m in Birmingham, i?ll definitely be coming back!!

A really great hotel overall with very friendly staff, great service and a nice bar. Breakfast was also really nice too.
The bed was also very comfy (although subjective) and the pillows were very soft. Well sealed room so it wasn?t noisy and lovely AC.
The only negative was the cupboard door for the fridge was hanging on for deer life but nothing that affected my stay and using the hotel as a whole. A great option for going to the airport or the NEC

Great hotel for attending events at the NEC as its just a short walk away. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly when I realised the room I'd booked didn't have a sofa bed in it. If you ask for a room with a view of the lake it's fabulous. The rooms have everything you need (hairdryer, tea and coffee in a cupboard, spare pillows) and are clean, nice bathroom etc. I would definitely stay here again!

Staff weren't overly friendly which some people may like but I prefer to be welcomed into a hotel with a smile. We were not told about breakfast location/times either so went to completely the wrong place in the morning.
Only 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel between the two of us originally in the room which seemed short sighted as we had booked as a couple. Got another one each quickly enough but surely they should check the room. I'd have expected facecloths too at a four star hotel.
Pretty surly staff as we checked out too.
Not the friendliest, or well equipped and I don't think we'll return. There's many other hotel options on the NEC site.....

Really good location and a good price when the NEC isn't busy. Lots of parking and easy to get to from A42/M42 .
Breakfast is excellent and IHG Points were added no problem. The reception staff were professional and swift.
Rooms were very good and clean

My husband and I stayed here on the Wednesday 23rd of July we had a slight problem with our Booking and we had wonderful service from Usman Alvi who sorted out everything instantly, no fuss polite and professional, thankyou.
The Rooms are superb so clean as is the whole Hotel. Our breakfast was delicious with everything we could wish for,
All the Staff were professional and curtious are plates were removed instantly with smiles they were cleaning constantly but discreetly, wonderful service, Thankyou we had a wonderful stay.

Really close to the airport and walking distance to resort world and NEC.
Rooms are good and very clean, bed is comfortable.
Food is good, I had pate to start and beef wellington pie for mains.

Double charged me for taxi and the receptionist wouldn't take any responsibility for it. 7.30am on 17th August. Receptionist beginning M and ending with A showed a I don't care attitude with no empathy.

Stefan served our food and drink, he's a lovely guy, we were celebrating our 10th anniversary and he was so lovely to us
