Booked an appointment over a week in advance for a contraceptive consultation. Arrived bang on time and was abruptly told the pharmacists were busy, and it would be a 15 minute wait. After 30 minutes of waiting I spoke to a different assistant who stated they did not have a pharmacist available to conduct the necessary checks and prescribe contraception. Really poor service, I don't understand why my appointment wasn't cancelled in advance if there was no pharmacist able to complete the appointment? Went to Boots on Merry Hill instead and was seen immediately and prescribed within 10 minutes. Would not recommend.

Called and spoke to Tian at this pharmacy after speaking to 111 and 2 other pharmacy?s. Tian was really helpful and went out of her way to get my prescriptions sorted. Credit to the company!

Ordered supplies and medication for gestational diabetes 2 weeks ago. Been in 3 times since to pick these up to be told that they hadn?t ordered them yet. They?ve now told me that they can?t get them and to ?try somewhere else?. So I?m now stuck all weekend until Monday without what I need to ensure my bloods are managed.

Consistently Poor Service and Unethical Practices by Dee - Posted on 05 July 2024 My husband, who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis and has difficulty walking, frequently visits this pharmacy, and each time he is told that it will take 20 minutes to dispense his prescription. This has been a consistent issue, and it seems as though the staff are deliberately delaying the process to encourage customers to shop while they wait. Regardless of the time of day, the standard response is always "20 minutes." This tactic feels highly unethical, especially considering that people visiting the pharmacy are often unwell and in need of timely assistance. Today, I went to the pharmacy myself with a painful fungal toe infection that made walking extremely difficult. Before going in, I called the pharmacy multiple times, but the phone rang out and then disconnected each time. When I mentioned this to the pharmacist I spoke to, they acknowledged that the phone should be answered and seemed aware that this is an ongoing issue. Had someone answered, they could have prepared my medication in advance, allowing me to pick it up quickly and minimise my discomfort. Instead, I was told to wait 20 minutes, which I refused to do because it is an unreasonable amount of time to wait when you are in pain and unwell. To add to the frustration, the lady at the counter blamed the delay on a water leak, but this issue has been ongoing regardless of any supposed leaks. Interestingly, when I refused to wait, my prescription was suddenly ready in under 5 minutes. This experience clearly suggests that the pharmacy staff could process prescriptions more quickly but choose not to. This raises serious ethical concerns about their practices. In summary, the service at Tesco Pharmacy Dudley is extremely disappointing. The consistent delays in processing prescriptions seem designed to force customers to shop, which is unacceptable, particularly for those who are sick and in need of quick medication access. We will never use this pharmacy again and strongly urge Tesco to address these issues promptly to ensure a more compassionate and efficient service for all its customers. This ongoing situation is unacceptable and needs immediate attention.

Made an appointment to see the pharmacy. Only to be told they have gone and won't be back for at least 40 minutes. I stressed that I had made an appointment. The lady walked of to find out she was talking to the pharmacist in the consult room and still said I would have to wait over 30 mins! Not good enough when you have booked to see them, not just walked in off the street.

Phones ring out then when they don?t they just don?t answer them this has happened many times so I called them while I was in the store as there was no one waiting and there was 4 members of staff stood around talking and they still didn?t answer the phone some of the staff are also rude and disrespectful will be moving from them as they also never have any of mine or my daughters medicines and neither of us can be without them

You order through your Dr's survey a week in advance when your medication is due then you still have to wait a further 2 weeks or more to collect them, they always have the same excuse they are short staffed, what a joke
